Korean boxing promoter Andy Kim (AK Promotions) will be streaming his show "Homecoming" on Sunday live on youtube. The show, which features 2 Korean title bouts, is on at 14:00 Korean time so it will likely be in the middle of the morning for many fans in the west, but it should be worth tuning in to. The headline bout features the supposed next star of Korean boxing, Kyoo Hwan Hwang (1-0, 1). Hwang is an 18 year old former amateur stand out who is being tipped by those in Korea as potential saviour to Korean boxing and will be fighting for the KBC (Korean Boxing Commission) 154lb title, the other title fight will be for the KBC 147lb title, For those interested it will be streamed here- [YT]ls1xSJEkDVs[/YT] Note to the mods-This is a LEGAL stream, it has been set up by the promoter who has e-mailed me to say it will be available internationally and for free through his youtube channel. Please do not delete this thread. Thanks.
Only got his professional debut, he didn't look as good as he's touted to be, though it was a pro debut... [YT]MrfTZSAK8yo[/YT]
Yeah... To be fair he's only 18 and you can see some talent for sure, good handspeed, tall for his weight (listed 5'11 on BR) and looks to have quite a bit of pop in his hands but very raw at this point.
Show kicks off with a VERY hot Korean chick playing violin...and then singing...I think AK have some music side arm as well as their boxing one....about 15 people in the venue by the looks of it
God this is weird...we're on to a third musical act...and this one, a dude, is just dancing to a load of Michael Jackson songs...
Not the best of quality but the fight has been entertaining with plenty of punches thrown, lots of blood (one guy has a bust nose)...fun stuff!
And...we have a draw! (knowing Korean cards it was 39-38, 38-38, 39-39 but I'm guessing there) Fighters for fight #2 are... Tae-Young Yuh and Ye Eul Kim (another 4 rounder)
1-Kim looks to be a counter puncher looking to fra a lead and fire, Yuh not giving many openings in the opening round...very different fight to the first one with a fair bit of skill being on show here...
Less than 20 seconds in to round 2 and the referee tells them to fight..I love Korean refs, they won't take long lulls in action!
