He's slow and raw and doesn't have good power, but he can volume punch in spurts and has a little bit of boxing skill, and that's been enough to get him by so far. He seems like a gatekeeper to me. Once he steps up, he will get beaten. It's rumored that he'll be Arreola's next opponent, and I expect Arreola to beat him soundly. Nutshell: He's a poor man's Jameel McCline.
I dont expect Arreola to beat him easily. Arreola is a big puncher but is rather crude. Walker has sound fundamentals, he is not fast in his hands but his handspeed is about average and he is fairly quick on his feet, he is not flat footed or immobile. If he can keep the jab going in Arreola's face from the outset and catch him coming forward he can certainly win the fight. Arreola is easy to hit and Walker has decent power. He isnt a huge puncher but he can certainly land solid hurtful shots.
I think he is slow and lacks the power to match his size. He is quite durable though I would rate him in the C+ B- range . A decent journeyman is all he will be.
I have seen his George Garcia fight and he looked pretty terrible...started out ok..knocked down Garcia with a good bodyshot but seemed to run out of gas real quick and then Garcia battered him pretty good....lucky to leave with a SD..probably actually lost the fight(didnt score it but by sight ) And THIS is George Garcia btw(grossly overweight) http://trockstock.smugmug.com/gallery/4716755_uqq3t/1/376805207_iRHNk#376805207_iRHNk
Freight Train is a true powerhouse and can make his impact be felt against any ordinary human being with 200 plus lbs. The problem has to do with the boxer Travis Walker and how can he handle situations against far better and more experienced fighters. He's no Calvin Brock, Eddie Chambers, Tony Thompson type tho, and he's much stronger, better than Kevin Johnson, I like Freight train.
