This is a very serious question:

Floyd Mayweather JR has been a HOF'er pretty much since beating ODLH I think it's fair to say. Several Fighters, Trainers and boxing officials (freddie roach, amir khan, roy jones jr, tim bradleys trainer [i forget his name], Eddie Hearn, ODLH, Bob Arum, and others) have recently stated that Floyd Mayweather JR is totally backed into a corner and has no choice on facing Pacquiao or Khan and that he is scared to do both of these things.

At this point whether or not the fans like his resume or not is pretty much irrelevant. His position as a hall of famer is not debatable and he could fight me tomorrow and make good money. I'm not saying that is the right attitude but what is your view about the last two fights of his career?

I don't comprehend the ridiculous amount of fanboy love he generates, its completely lost on me, he's a very skilled great boxer but not someone that should create this much passion in people, I find the whole thing rather odd.

1.)you said he became a HOF when he beat ODLH when he had been a HOF way before that. One of the mistakes people make when talking about Mayweather of Pacquiao for that matter is that they match them up against welterweight ATG like SRR or SRL when in reality both of their primes was in the lower weights and anything they do now is just adding to their legacy.

2.) idk why people keep saying Mayweather is scared of Khan. if they do fight after mayweather beats him theyll just be saying that Mayweather beat someone who has 3 losses, 2 by ko and hasnt had a relevant win at WW

in your opinion WHY does he have to fight manny pacquiao? Won't he be a hof'er regardless? What do you think?

I don't know if your speaking about me specifically but I hope not....

This is a legitamate question. Again, I like floyd and I 100% want to see him fight pacquiao but am I wrong when I say that if he retires today that he won't be a hall of famer?

He'll be in the HOF anyway but what he does from here on still matters and still has an effect on his legacy and how he will be remembered.

If a thug like Michael Brown generates sympathizers, Floyd would easily have fanboys.

All you have to do is flip the script to your ridiculous amount of fanboy love for Pac and you might be able to comprehend some things.:smoke

These last two fights will be the most important of his career.

No Manny or Khan = All that hard work for nothing. Nobody will care. Those are the right fighters for him to enhance his legacy should he take those fights and win them.

You are misinterpreting trolling the idiot pac fans on this forum to liking Mayweather with a passion. Frankly, IDC much about Mayweather in general or dislike Pac that much. Trolling the idiots is just that, trolling. They are illogical in their arguments and it's easy to troll them.

Yes it does matter if he had fought Pac already it wouldn't matter so much . Not fighting the best possible opponent available in your era will always have a negative effect
