I am honestly just curious: Do you believe that Wladimir genuinely tries his hardest to entertain his fans and to also be a valuable addition to boxing history?

I do not think so at all, but please let me hear your opinions on this. Thank you.

"valuable additions" to boxing history tend to be legit champions over a long stretch - job done

I think he'd like to cement his legacy. He doesn't give a damn about entertaining the fans, and can Germans will flock en masse to see him so be doesn't have to worry about it.

This is a matter of definition, isn't it?

I am German, and unfortunately it is true that most do not care at all who he fights or how he fights them.

One may argue he never fought for the number one spot in the division when his bro was around. I understand why they do not fight each other, but neither of them can be considered top dawg, can they?
He takes on unworthy challengers on a regular basis now (I do not buy the 'no one wants to fight him' excuse) - he pulled out of two Chisora fights, just as an example.
He also violates the rules a lot.

Luckily, Chisora doesn't make any sane person's list of "worthy challengers"

He definitely was as evidenced by his fight against Vitali and the pressure he generated.

so who do you consider to be the HW king?
or is the brothers not fighting each other your foil to negating both of them?

Being somewhat competitive with a declining Vitali does not equal being a threat to Wladimir.

I disagree. Boxing fans pay to see him fight so it is his obligation and priviledge to entertain the fans. Mike Tyson some time ago in an interview explained how Cus told him it wasn't enough to be the best, you also have got to be the most exciting fighter on the planet, and this is very very true.
True boxing fans NEVER tolerate the violations of the rules as practiced by 'Gentleman' Wladimir.

No, I dont think he goes out is way to be entertaining. I think he does whats necessary to secure the win.

Sometimes it makes for very boring fights....unlike the old Wladimir, really wish he still had that offensive juggernaut mentality like he did before but we all know why that is
