lol lets be honest, he is nowhere near ATG status...he is a very sloppy fighter with no power..he loves to shoeshine his opponents but his accuracy is putrid.

I cannot stand BHOP as well...the guy knocks Joe down in the first and then proceeded to throw two more punches in the round:patsch

Hes 43 and cannot throw more than 20 punch a round...He needs to retire coz no one will pay to watch him

This was a victory for Joe but it is far for impressive..it really says alot.

HBO announcers especially Steward better stop..can you find a more biased commentator??? at least Max was initially biased towards HOP but adjusted his commentating later on

  2. Oh Please!

Given the style of fight Hopkins employed anyone would look like that! Get out of here mate!

He won 9-2-1 on my card. I'm disapointed, but **** off if you think that was close.

hopkins was far too dirty and was relying on the flash knockdown to win him that fight.....super joe beats a yank in his backyard.....close, hard fought, but he ****ing won!!

Hard to box, when the other fighter isn't interested in doing so. The 9 rounds I saw, went to JC.

No It wasnt I actually agree with the 116-111 score..****in Hopkins did ****..threw 10 punches around.. Joe was wide open for counterpunching ALL NIGHT!!! That right was landing at will..Bernard needs to retire...he does **** and bitches when he loses...

Joes a great fighter but I dont want to hear any more Joe vs. Roy what ifs??

its not that its the hyping he recieves on here..he was very sloppy, falling straight into punches,no use of the jab..etc..i dont have anything against him but the hype he gets is insane..i dont think he is that good

You have to be disappointed since you expected a wide UD decision or a TKO in 8 but something tells me that you are relieved ( specially after seeing your man dropped with 1:50 to go in the very first round). Anyway Calzaghe won fair and square, but I had it all even 104-104 going to the twelveth. My final scorecard was 114-113 just like Adalaide Byrd but for Calzaghe. A SD win is not the humiliation you guys expected but it could have been worse for you. Congrats.

Calzaghe is certainly an All-Time Great. Hopkins fought a very crafty, difficult fight, and Calzaghe was able to gut it out. No one is going to land loads of combinations cleanly on Hopkins. Even Roy Jones in his younger days didn't do that.

The ony reason Calzaghe didn't look very good tonight was because of Hopkins style, in the end Joe did what he had to do to win this fight.
