Even as the biggest most avid margarito supporter you must have some sort of appreciation for paul williams... just listen to what he says respectful honest positive no excuses focused on himself and the future if you hate on paul you should be ashamed of your self honestly
even if he beat your favorite fighter you should atleast respect him.. listen to him talk! doesnt say anything about margarito being scared or anything... he just focused on himself trying to become a true champ.. your an idiot if you hate on him
Unfortunately, some ppl do. At least he's trying to make a name for himself and is proving why he's the most feared man.
Sometimes this forum is like pro wrestling, since when do you have to boo or hate the opponent's of your favorite "Superstar"? I just want to see them beat the hell out of each other, and get my money's worth. I give Williams prop's for staying buzy, That's defo to his advantage. (just wish it was against opponent's more his "Caliber")
I like Paul Williams a lot , I really liked how when he had a shot at Margarito, on the way to the ring he was all smiles.... Can't say the same for most of Margarito's opponents.
Most people are stupid and function on emotions only. Maybe it's the way he talks, like he's from a southside ghetto or something. Maybe it's the fact that they hate his weight making skills and don't think it was appropriate for him to beat one of their fighters. Maybe they don't like his "lack of skills". I put that in quotes because I feel that he is one of the more skilled fighters out there, and has defensive lapses because he's so tall and fights like a small fighter. Either way, it's all lame ass bs haterade.
He's fought Margarito, Malthyse, Quintana (who beat the **** out of him before the rematch), Verno Phillips (Who most people don't know, but who cares about the noob ******** opinions when the guy was a great fighter and belt holder), and now Winky Wright. He's fought people of a high calibre. He's now experimenting with higher quality opponents at the higher weight classes, just like he did with Phillips. He's as game as it gets. I just don't think he's fazed by the violence of the sport.
He is just a country-ass dude who, to this day, still can't believe he is doing what he is doing. He told us he couldn't stop smiling because he was just plain happy to be there, especially when he saw all the people and realized he was the main event in a big fight.
