To the wlad klitschko fans, honestly, please explain to me how or why your a fan of him because I am simply unable to comprehend his appeal and would seriously like to know what about him makes him appealing to anyone?

If you like him as a person I can understand, but as a fight fan I genuinely just can't wrap my head around someone being a fan of his style or performances. Enlighten me

PS Vitali is a different story it easy to see what makes him appealing

I'm his fan because not only is he dominant, he is educated and well versed, a gentleman, respects the sport, respects others, has a good sense of humour, is honourable, ducks no one, is honest, is a good role model for kids, and is probably the best ambassador for the sport we have ever had in the heavyweight division. he is not a criminal, ******, woman beater, nor is he some tool that can only fight.

Well, I became a fan when he fought Monte, Jefferson, Mercer.... ect,

Really not that hard to see why someone would be a fan of his back then, just watch those fights, they were badass displays from a heavyweight. And I liked him as a person, so rooted for him.

The way he quickly avenged his loses, the buzz he brings to the division, and the way he brought fights to his native country.

so you like him as a person, so do I, great guy ( a bit boring) but as a boxing fan and sports fan in general I want to see good, entertaining, and competetive fights, and that has happened since... peter 1 maybe. The only time he's entertaining is when he's getting knocked down so as much as i like the guy for his stand up moral character I can't really root for him as a fan of the sport.

they were the first 2 fighters introduced to me. since 2001 I'm a fan of the K2s. They are the only sportsheroes I have left who are unretired.

First off he is a class act, one of the very few in the history of boxing. I am very glad the boxing takes this kind of directions. All the getto kids have a great chance to learn that being the best doesn't mean to be a thug, one time off then overweight or drug addict, wive beater/abuser or mafia reinforcer, etc...

Oh, to the boxing part now. Jab, straight right, left hook, athleticism, speed, foot work, staying with the game plan, etc...

Naaah, forget about it.... move to other sport as this is not going to change in the near future,

I'm not a fan, but I do respect the man.

Considering there are so many fighters who let fights slip out of their grasp through being too aggressive, its refreshing to see someone who has the discipline to maintain his advantage and use them to the fullest.

I think you have to respect Wladimir's consistency to, his reign at HW, no matter who its been against.

I'm not a fan of Larry Holmes personally, I think he was quite boring, but I respect the man, and he was evolved some! good fights (Weaver, Shavers 2, Norton, Williams), but for the most part, his fights were about him jabbing his opponent to death round after round.

Many people overlook the fact that he turned his career around after getting KO'd twice. The two knockouts are only a year apart and after the 2nd KO his career was in shambles. Many fans including myself believed it was best for him to retire even though he was still young at the time. He could've easily walked away. But he didn't. He deserves points for showing some guts and the ability to become a more effective fighter. I can't stand Amir Khan but he's having a similar epiphany and I'm giving the kid credit for it.

Wlad is able to fight tall; he uses his height very well. His footwork is underrated and in the Haye fight a lot of people thought his chin would crack after getting hit cleanly for the first time which obviously didn't happen. I'm not going to refer to him as someone who owns a steel chin. But he took the shots pretty well.

A world class trainer like E. Steward knows talent when he sees it. Agreeing with him isn't bad. The real question is - why is it so painfully hard for the majority of boxing fans to hand Wlad some credit? Now that's something I cannot wrap my head around.

I prefer to watch Vitali. But give me Wlad over John Ruiz anyday. People love to knock on Wlad for fighting a bunch of bums. But isn't Canelo doing the same thing? Why does he get so much positive attention for it? Don't get me wrong; I don't question Canelo's heart. I just see that both guys are finding ways to win but only one of them is being rewarded.
