Seemingly because the media have coerced them, mind conditioned them not appreciate anything the Klits do, and lust for the guy who can topple them, unfortunately.

As I say, I dont like particularly like watching Wlad, although I do like watching VK, but I respect him, which many seemingly dont.

canelo's and khan are fun to watch and both take more chances than wlad, I respect wlad as a man and role model out of the ring but watching him fight is terribly frustrating and when you look at his physical dominance and athleticism it can get upsetting (even for emmanuel steward)

Do you think, with Wlads durability, he could be taking more chances, and still!! be as dominate, as what he's been over the last few years? Cause I tend to think that discipline, caution, is what's kept him where he is, which is not a knock on him, he's just working with what he's got.

Dont fight like Mike Tyson, if you aint Mike Tyson, na mean.

I actually think its time to start thinking about a SHW division, cause the average person these days, is a lot bigger than 20 years ago.

Imagine some of the potential fights we could have if we had a division of say Povetkin, Arreola, Haye, Adamek, Chambers and Solis, there would be some fun little match ups there imo, now I here the argument, Mike Tyson was a small heavyweight knocking over bigger men, but Mike Tyson didn't knock over any elite big men, now I aint saying Wlads elite, but lets say there comes a time when there is an elite big man, what chance will someone of Mike Tyson's stature have of beating a guy like that? Size is only not an advantage when you dont know how to maximize it because you lack the necessary skills, only when you have those skills, that is when the old chestnut, a good big en beats a good little en, really applies.

Is it that other fighters take more chances, or is it that they lack the offense Wlad has. I have said it time and time again. The sport is called BOXING. It is not called bar room brawling. Wlad is a boxer and he is damn good at it. If you are a BOXING fan, how can you not like the most dominant BOXER in the heavyweight division. Why does he need to take chances when he does not have to. The man has had 59 fights with an 83% KO average. Bernard Hopkins 57 fights with a 53% KO average. Manny Pacquio 58 fights with a 65.5% KO average. What more do you want out of Wlad? He is a BOXER and deserves some credit. If you are a true BOXING fan, you should give him some.

Obviously he is extremely likable as a person. Which, already had me as a fan from there. Second, I watched him at the Olympics, and predicted that he would go on to be a dominant Heavyweight Champion. So, part of me wanted to show my friends that I was correct on that call as well. So, that is what had me as a fan early on in his career.

Now, I saw him rise to the top of the division. I watched him sit as the #1 challenger by ring magazine to Lennox Lewis for over 2 years. Wlad never got his shot at the time, but was making serious noise and everyone wanted to see that fight. Wlad ends up losing horribly against Sanders. I joined ESB in 2003 (there was a crash and everyone had to resign up in 2004) and was one of the only people at that time who stuck by him after that defeat and said that he could still come back and be the best. Then.. I watched him fall against Brewster. I must admit... even I had my doubts at that point. I didn't doubt whether he had the talent and ability... and I honestly never doubted his chin because I followed him too long to buy into that nonsense. However, I doubted his desire and how his confidence would be after those two defeats. Of course I still stood by him as a fan and argued tooth and nail that he would be back and become Champ. I knew that he could... I hoped that he wanted to.

Wlad then pulled himself up YET AGAIN! Proving everyone wrong and showing what great heart and determination that he had. The first fight against Sam Peter was his big transition. It was exactly what he needed at the time. He was caught between two styles, and was down on confidence. That fight showed him that not only could he pull himself off the canvas to win a fight... but also Manny Steward was leading him in the right direction and he began to trust Manny's ways. You could see it all in that fight. Since then, he has only became better and better. He has shown himself to be the true Heavyweight Champion of the World and has completely dominated all opponents.

Now... strictly boxing related... I happen to love the sport of boxing. Not just sluggers... but fighters who actually practice boxing... hit and don't get hit. I happen to LOVE watching the way that Wlad completely controls distance and pace. He shows GREAT ring generalship and GREAT footwork in doing so. He works behind one of the greatest jabs that we will ever see. His defense is tremendous.. it's almost a shock to boxing fans when the man actually gets hit clean. He completely dominates every aspect of his fights, breaks his opponents will, takes their heart... and takes them out at a higher rate than the likes of Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Ali, Joe Louis, Joe Frazer, Jack Dempsey, ect....

I think that a better question would be... "How on earth can you NOT like or at least appreciate Wladimir Klitschko". I don't fall into the bull**** of "Wlad holds too much", when he clearly doesn't.... or "Wlad isn't aggressive enough", when he is pressuring his opponents, chasing them and on top of them the entire fight... or "Wlad doesn't go for the knockout", when Wlad clearly stops his opponents at a higher rate than just about every other top heavyweight in the history of the sport.

I'm a fan of Wlad's because he's a great boxer, does a lot for charity, is a good guy, powerful puncher, and ALWAYS trains and comes to his fights in great shape.

Widdow, you did your dues and now you enjoy the fruits.

I admit, I lost confidence in Wlad after the Brewster fight. What happened after is unprecedented.

Enjoy the rain, it will be a few more years at the very least.
