I like him because of his personality - he's the only geniunly smart, funny HW I've come across in my time. Futhermore he's the best HW of his era - he's not a raging beast, but a refined, technical fighter who has overcome serious setbacks and climbed to the very top of the sport. That's a champion. I've never been high on "warriors" who just stand in the middle of the ring bashing and getting bashed - I like my guys tactical. I like Mayweather too - but only as a boxer. Couldn't really be a 'fan' of a guy like that.

Honestly, why are you still breathing?

The man fights everyone available in the division and goes in there to win, that's how EVERY fighter should be. If he went in there, as he did earlier in his career, to entertain ******s that don't understand anything but exchanges in the ring, ******s like you, then he will get insulted and called a bum/glass jaw..etc like he already was called for years.

Wlad gets my admiration because he picked himself up after embarrassing losses vs. Sanders and Brewster, dusted himself off, went back to the drawing board and came back stronger than before.

His career thus far is metaphorical for the ups and downs of life. An inspiration.

I was never a fan until the Borat video.
He won the fight then and there as David Gaye was
SHOOK. You could see it clear as day.

I liked his style all the way up until just after his first fight with Lamon Brewster. Honestly I know 99.9% of the Klitschko fans here wouldnt beleive this but the truth is, I liked Both Klitschkos, Defently Wlad for his style, and Vitali beleive me I was pulling for him to beat the day lights out of Lewis.

    What has changed?

Well let me start with Wlad, after he lost to brewster he started to hold and hold alot he no longer was willing to mix it up on the inside, he started to lean on the back of fighters as well... of course this was a strategy that Stewart imported into his game but IMO it made Wlad a boring fighter.

What I also didnt like was the excuses he made after his loss with Brewster, just un professional and ***** like, Too much Vaseline, he was poisened etc.... I hate that **** man... seriously this is acceptable to the Klitschko fans but Hayes broken toe is not? you see the double standards here?

    Now on to Vitali...

All for him to stomp lewis to bits, supported him during the fight, Hated on Lewis for topping my fav fighter Holyfield.... However after lossing and lossing legit, Vitali started acting like a little ***** himself, especially when Lennox decided to retire, and what made me hate him worse is the idea that Vitali and his fans actually beleive he forced Lewis into retirement.....

Y'all can get the **** out of here with that lie... that didnt happen, lewis was set to retire anyways.. what the fans do not own up and admit is that had the fight taken place in Vegas or NY it would have been stopped immediatly the cut was that bad.

California allowed the fight to go becuase they barely saved this card when johnson pulled out of his fight with Lewis, they were able to get Vitali and Lewis together to save the card... that increased the sales of tickets and there was no way our commission out here was going to call the fight off that early under those circumstances boxing was being brought back to Staples becuase Hockey at that time the NHL went on strike, they needed to continue to bring in money at staples during that down time... this is how they did it, this is also how you got the Tarver Johnson fight out there, Hopkins 20th defense a pacquiao morales double header etc..

Anyhow take a look at how long Vitali had? after that cut~ he was given more than enough time to get the job done and failed to do so, somehow this is the fault of Lewis?:huh

Okay so forget the lewis fight, let me explain what I mean by the Klitschkos receiving un fair favortisim from the sanctioning bodies here and I do attribute that to their skin color....

Wlad was knocked out by Sanders who took the WBO title, and when ever you hold a title your un ranked by the other three bodies..

Lewis retired and the WBC went vacant....

Vitali is the #1 contender who has a right to contend for that title, Sanders just a week prior to the fight with Vitali, allows the WBO to strip him and suddenly is fighting for the WBC vacant title...

The rules state that if the title is vacant the #1 and #2 are to fight for it and if #2 is no available then its #3 and so on....
How did Sanders get to fight for the Vacant WBC title when he was currently un ranked by them:think remember he was the champion of the WBO..

So IMO, they gave Vitali that title for free he didnt have to face the legit #2 or #3 and to me when you start to bend the rules of the sport in favor of a fighter no matter what the reason thats when a fighter is no good for the sport.....

I agree, the toe thing by haye was ridiculous. Was Wlad poisoned? I dunno. However, if he had never fought Brewster again, I would think that it was nothing more than an excuse. I wasn't a fan of wlad when that fight happened. I became a fan after the Peter I fight, how he came off the canvas and put on a boxing clinic. Anyways, with respect to Brewster, when I first heard about the poisoning thing, I thought that was idiotic and just an excuse. from what I knwo about Brewster, he dopesnt seem like the type of dude to do that. If there was something going on, was probably bookies. Why I forgive that explanation for losing is because he so dominated Brewster in their return fight. I watched that fight at a strip bar, and I actually watched the fight, not the girls while it was on. Hey, maybe you have a point with your initial post to me...lol.

Seriously, that was the one loss that he stated there was some controversy with, and he avenged it. he has never made excuses like that other than being over confident and unprepared for his other two losses. I think he accepted those losses as his own fault which is why he most likely never pushed hard for a rematch. Not that he ducked them, but that he knew he lost fair and square and didn't want to take those victories away from them by complaining for a rematch. I'm sure he would have fought them, and beat both of them in rematches, but he wasn't a sore loser and accepted the losses.

and yes, i think lewis would have beaten vitali on points had the fight continued. he wouldnt have KO'd him, Vitali is the euro Chuvalo, but Lewis would have UD him, at least in my opinion watching the fight. But who knows, someone from the Russian mafia might have shot lewis in the 8th round

everything there I posted is the truth, what makes me a hater? cus the klitschkos decided to start holding and I find that boring makes me a hater?
Get the **** out of here, I would rather Wlad fight his old style than to see him fight the way he does now, and the way he fights now is just out right boring.

I disagree, I think Lewis was on his way to stopping VK, if you watch the last round, not at the end of the last round where Lewis sort of slumps down in his stool but the actual round.
Take note to all the upper cuts Lewis was nailing VK with all the sudden, and look at what VK was doing, he was holding on for life.... he was a bit more tired.
Had that gone on rather than being stopped there, Lewis would have come out and likely did much more damage to that cut, and stopped VK and not on cuts.. VK was one or two rounds away from hitting the canvas.

well, we'll never know, but the topic will be debated to death on esb here until the the world ends lol! either way, im a HUGE fan of Wlad, a fairly big fan of Vitali (I sometimes don't like the awkward style, I prefer more of the refinement of a Wlad) because he always shows up to fight and has integrity, and I NEVER liked Lewis for all the reasons I stated, and I think Lewis was on his way to a victory regardless of the cut.

I sometimes even think that Lewis NOT being in shape helped propel him to victory as he was forced to dig deeper than he ever had and somehow found his Canadian'ness. An in shape Lewis vs an in shape Vitali could have gone either way. It could have been an all time great match. But, I think 2011 Wlad vs prime Lewis might have been the greatest fight of all time!

He's a good fighter. And personally he has that bond villain thing going on.

As for the brothers themselves they both seem nice guys, are intelligent (I do think there's a lot to be said for someone who speaks English aswell as Wlad does, in addition to Russian, German etc all very well)

But as boxers I enjoy watching them both, and neither of them have any extremely abhorrent personal traits (like cowardice, cheatering, or ducking) to ovveride that.

    I'm a boxer/boxing fan and he's a boxer.

This isn't like football where liking team a automatically means you have to dislike team b. I like most boxers (or am willing to watch) unless they give me reason not to. i.e. Cintron.

However, I can understand that people can find it easy to dislike him because of his style

EASY on Pete Rose! The guy bet on some games, that's it. Its not like he was throwing them.

He's hardly a douchebag of the Mayweather/Kanye West class.
