No way Williams truly believes he beat Lara. No way Cloud truly believes he beat Campillo. And so on... So many robberies and not a single honest boxer. Has any favored boxer ever acknowledged he really lost?

Wouldn't expect it to happen anytime soon. Boxing isn't no fun and game sport. You have to believe you're the best.

I believe Oscar told Sturm he lost. Admitting you lost is pretty hard though. I think getting a gift decision is better than getting a loss to most boxers.

I know what you mean. I was shaking my head when Cloud said he thought he won the fight because Campillo "can't take a punch." Did he forget there were 11 more rounds to fight? Certainly he would know better than anyone else that he was losing the fight, so why lie to yourself and insult your fans' collective intelligence by acting like you won? He's only hurting himself in the long run by not addressing and fixing his numerous flaws that were exploited by Campillo during the fight. Same with Williams against Lara.

Honesty from promoters/managers would be even better.

Ego. They want to believe that they are the best regardless so it's hard for them to admit defeat even if the whole world saw them get their sht pushed in like Williams did against Lara or Cloud against Campillo. I love Hagler and Duran but they had excuses too just to name a few. Especially Duran. But admitting loss from these fighters isn't going to change the shitty scorecards and refs(didn't see a ref problem yesterday but this still is a problem at times). After all, this is boxing. It has been a big source of corruption for the longest.
