As soon as he got tagged - Jose was obviously looking for a soft spot on the canvas.

 

Can you blame him? He's a 44 year old ex-baseball player who's broke and desperate for money. He had less than zero chance of winning. I give him credit for at least trying to make a fight of it.

 

He got paid. He didn't die. He can blame his knee. He actually managed to punch Hong Man in the face.

All in all, it could have been far worse for Jose.

 

I don't know how I feel about Canseco's attempt at MMA. In one way - I feel like he's no different than a Kimbo Slice using his notoriety to get a fight because they see MMA as a way to make a fast buck. Give me life long martial artists that seek to perfect and promote their art like Lyoto Machida.

 

Why did this fight happen?

I know Canseco needs money, but who really cares to see a 44 year old washed up baseball player with zero fights? I can't believe Dream put him on the card.

What is next Canseco vs Akebono, or Giant Siva? Maybe he can help them pad their records so they can get smashed some more for the Japanese fans.

 

I'm not going to lie...Canseco vs. Akebono excites me.

That's what I like about freak shows. I like watching big, hulking giants get tooled by guys like Minowaman. That's hilarious. But at the same time, there's something to be said for two terrible fighters just duking it out.

 

hahaha I loved it. Jose hit HMC once or twice, then he tried to get cute with a sidekick haha freakshows are fun.

 

Sokoudjou also went ape on Jan and kept GnP'ing Jan after the ref stopped the fight the bell was ringing and Soko was still punching around the ref. Really punk **** I thought.
