I`m disappointed that Clevelry wont be in a good fight now,but as long as i get to see the Groves-Degale fight then it`s well worth the money i have paid for my ticket.

 

I know, but if your going on principle, surely you would want to trade instead? what I'm saying is, can you come across patronizing about others buying it, when you have brought it, and didn't have to?

Trust me; Warren is no ****, he is just smart.

I think anyone who knows the history of the British sport in this country, knows Warren was the saviour, who brought the BBB of C down a peg or ten, and helped the fans no end.

I think people forget how expensive top level boxing is, the top end of the sport is only viable though PPV.

Sometimes **** happens, and we the fans get hurt, but trust me that is not Warren's intention.

If you are looking for a scapegoat for a perceived bad investment, then the blame lies at Braehmer, Bellow and the face in the mirror.

The truth is unless you want a worked sport, things like this always have and always will happen.

Now get out of your pram, and pick them toys up...

 

What I'm saying is, if you have a site, where by you sell DVD's, surely you have a lot of friends, guys who you can trade with? well doesn't that mean you wouldn't HAVE to buy it, if your really wanted to make a stand out of principle?

I know you say it wont cost you anything in the long run, but if you want to make a point, like you seem to be advocating everyone else should do, then you would trade no?

 

Great stuff, you're quality for the stuff on Sky but so far there hasn't been anything as easy to find and reliable for HBO and Showtime.

 

Fair point, but this bill isn't quite the top end of the sport, is it? If it was a major title between two of the top names in the sport, with an undercard that had quality in depth, then nobody would complain if it was PPV.

As it stands, this PPV absolutely stinks.

 

Yeah I dont mean to be pedantic or anything, what you said just seemed a little inconsistent. I guess what were talking about here, is that you seem to want to watch it LIVE, where as I'm talking more about making a point by boycotting the event, then getting a trade to where by you can watch the fight 2/3 days later or something.

Warren must have known Bellew wouldn't make weight. Why didn't they weigh him before the press conference? He got Bellew down to keep the fans interested, and as a bonus hype up a future Cleverly vs Bellew fight. We can look forward to that fight in the near future, only on PPV. What a massive con job.

 

I would say as the sport in this country stands, it is very much the top end. Cleverly is a generally recognized world top 10 fighter, and he was due to fight another top 10 fighter. That is going to cost money outside the Straweights...

And with the exception of when DKP spoiled us in the 90s, when the hell did people buy a PPV because of the undercard? Short of having family or friends on it, people are going to look at the main event.

Warren tried it, with that silly (from a financial point of view) Magnificent seven bill, it did not work and Warren lost a ton of money, people buy the main event...

Unfortunately this event has fallen flat. But at least Braehmer came clean, and we did not end with a scenario like Chavez/de la HoyaI, when Chavez knew the moment he was hit a sparring cut was going to re open and end the fight...

 

No I get that, there is deffo something to be said for watching it LIVE!
