I recently started a thread about Mares reckoning Rigo's victory against Donaire. Mysteriously my threads get deleted or moved quite often. It should be we have some *******s directing this show and my avatar is uncomfortable. Anyways, Mares gave Rigo all the credit and says he expected to be the one exposing Donaire. He doesn't mind a showdown against Rigo. I hope it happens. I believe 126 will be too much for him.
Just talk IMO. Mares has shown a willingness to fight anyone but there's pretty much no chance Golden Boy would allow that bout to be made. And if Mares does end up leaving GB at the end of the year for Top Rank, he will be matched against Donaire first, just like every other name Top Rank has access to around the division has been given to Donaire first. Then we can read Arum whine that he just doesn't understand why Rigondeaux doesn't have a bigger fan base and that the only explanation must be his "boring" style :roll:
Neither Donaire or Rigo sell tickets as much as mares. It's the Mexican charm, set them to fight in LA and its a sold out. By the time Mares leaves gbp ( if he ever does). Donaire will be at least at 130 lbs.
Mares is a P4P fighter meaning he challenges himself at different weights. if Rigo is so good why would his ass ask for catchweights? Tell rigo to move to 126 why do people have to cone to him? Mares stylistically is a nightmare for rigo so of course it benefits rigo to bring mares down, tell rigo to be a P4p kid like mares u gotta challenge urself so if he wants to beat that ass move up to 126 and chase mares like he did donaire
I agree Mares enjoys challenging himself so much that he would certainly would never ask for a catchweight or request an opponent move up to meet him. A mere glance at his last two fights immediately confirms those two facts.
Fail Doc, read again. Nobody asked for catchweight , Mares is moving up and I personally believes PDL will tap his ass and he'll be back at 122. Rigo, a 5.4 guy who walks around at 125 lbs , is already pushing it at 122. If Mares - who already had close fights w Vic,Agbeko, Perez,Moreno ( little guys)-wants to prove himself against PDL - who has been in the ring with huge monsters like Gamboa and Broner - I wish him good luck. But after may 4 he'll understand he doesn't belong at fw.
Fail kid, mares himself is a small fighter who is maxing himself out and really belongs at 118 like rigor but skills pay the bills and mares challenging himself like a boss. Rigo wants catchweights with anyone from 126 why not move up? If he wants someone he has to take risks if he wants to be the best like mares, u got to go big. Where did Rigo ask for a catchweight ? He even said that if no big fights at 122 he'll consider going back to his natural weight 118. I don't question mares heart, I just say he doesn't belong at 126.
