Wlad has had great longevity, and Ali didn't. But that was due to circumstances. Everyone has a different set of circumstances surrounding them.

You're entitled to your opinion, but you're saying that the Jennings fight proves that Ali couldn't have found Wlad's face?

    What?

    Ali was too small?

At 6'3, with probably the greatest footwork of all time at HW?

    What?

The Jennings fight doesn't tell us ANYTHING.

Did you even see Ali in his prime?

Wlad throws TWO shots and clinches. How on earth would he have coped with Ali's speed of hand and foot? Ali would have been on his toes, dancing in and out of range, switching angles, feinting and throwing lightening combinations. Then there's the psychological aspect to consider.

We can't compare athletes from 50 years ago?

Wlad may have been bigger and stronger etc, but he wasn't BETTER.

Skills are more important than size.

Then why didn't Haye manage to look better than he did vs. Wlad? He had speed, he had power, he had the ability to put together deadly combinations. Certainly Haye at 215 lbs was close weight-wise like many champions and top contenders from the 50-80s were.

Why, because he beat Stiverne? Come on, Jennings is light years ahead of Stiverne.

Ali shouldn't have been anywhere near a ring at that age. But the TS has made this thread due to the amount of Wlad vs Ali threads that are posted several times per year.

To be fair at the same age I don't think Wlad would be gettin beat up by Leon Spinks and Trevor Berbick.

Again from a pound for pound perspective comparing Wlad and Ali is just pointless

It's only as original as what happens after Wlad puts in what's deemed by his fans as a great performance.

After the Pulev fight, we were told:

He's still at the peak of his powers.

He looks as good as he did ten years ago.

He would have beaten Ali in his prime.

    He would have beaten Lennox.

He's one of the greatest ever.

    He's the GOAT.

That's what we've had to read on here in the last few months.

We all know the answer to that question.

    Because he's mentally weak.

He has the tools, but not the will.

He was scared to take a chance. He blamed his performance on his toe. I don't even remember him even attempting a single body shot.

Not in today's era, no way.

But we don't know how Wlad would have performed at his current age, if he'd have turned pro in 1960 and fought over 60 times.

Hey man, I respect anyone's opinion as long as it's based on logic.

I was just making a point that his hardcore fans aren't original when it comes to starting threads about him on here.

I like Wlad, and I feel he's both underrated and overrated.

Wlad has fought 67 times and has been a professional for 19 years.

    There'll always be Ali-Klitschko threads.

BTW, last night's Klitschko would have little trouble with Ali at 39.

Will Wlad now suffer the same criticism as Fury for punching himself in the face or will he get a pass?
