Good morning gentleman. I hopefully I have my first bout on Friday and my trainer has requested that I get down to 64KG, which means I have to lose about 3 pounds as I walk around at about 65/66KG. I am quite a big eater normally and since Friday I have cut down on my food intake but this led to me feeling really weak on Sunday when I went for a run. I want to avoid instances like that tonight at boxing. Can someone advise on a simple diet for the week? I work near most supermarkets so I can get nearly every type of food. I find the diet stuff quite difficult to put into action. One website says avoid pasta whilst the BBC lists pasta as a healty lunch. Cheers.
On Wednesday until the weigh in eat low sodium foods and low fibre foods. If you still need to lose any weight you can easily sweat the rest out with no problems. I don't understand why your trainer hasn't given you advice. Your weight is perfect at this stage, no need to starve yourself.
Lefty, thank you. I just got told to get a little bit lower. I just need to avoid boredom eating and I should be bang on.
Don't mean to hijack but could someone with experience or knowlege tell me if i can eat and drink as much as i want the day before a fight if im around 0.5-0.7 kg less then what should be. Or should i just eat and drink as little as i can incase i retan water or gain weight?
