Hopes of Ibragimov Klitschko unification fight starting to slip

I've been saying this for the longest time! Where's Suge White when **** like this happens & he claims it's all Klitschko's fault?

 

Maybe mind games or holding out for a better cash offer...............

does he need more time to celebrate the Holyfield win?

 

I think Waldo proved he doesn't duck competiton by stepping in the ring with Sam just to get at Byrd.

The other ones however, Maskaev, Ibragimov, and Chagaev all worry me and look very much like title snatchers who will hold them hostage for as long as possible.

They really need to go back to having champions ranked by other organizations.

Bull**** moves to try and get the upper hand in negotations.

IF Iggy and his team want unification, then it will be a ploy to either get

a) a venue more to their liking
b) more money
c) all of the above.


Don't forget, Waldo has had his share of lame defences, and raked in the cash.

Iggy and his team are only just starting on the gravy train. If they're going to risk it all in a unification fight, then I'm sure they want to have enough in the bank to call it a career.

Waldo has a much better rep to fall back on if he lost this fight. His career wouldn't be over, it would just be another hiccup (altho of course his legacy would be hurt).

It's fair to say Iggys career would pretty much be over if he lost. So of course, he either wants enough money from easy defences beforehand, or a huge purse for risking it with Wlad.

 

I agree 1000% and that's not a typo!

We as fans need to boycott these supposed "title fights" against hasbeens like Holyfield, McCall, Moorer, Rahman, Tua, etc. and wannabes like Austin, etc. who magically get elevated to #1 contender status for merely beating tomato cans for a shot at the titles.

This is bull****! Unify or be stripped of your EARNING POWER by the fans who won't buy these phoney "title matches" anymore.

Wladimir's only questionable defense was against his MANDATORY, Austin who was given that bogus ranking by DON KING. Pay attenion *******.

Brock was a voluntary defense, against an undefeated fighter in his prime, and Klitschko destroyed him.

Brewster was a revenge match since no other beltholder was able to unify due to previously arranged matches as well as mandatory defenses. Klitschko destroyed him also.

 

THIS FIGHT WILL HAPPEN...Trust me..inside info...the fight will be signed in a couple days....Mark my words

Exactly. 4 months is long enough to arrange & prepare for any fight at any weight, unless you're a *****.

 

I don't see why Klitschko and Chagaev didn't make a fight happen for December. The champions want unification fights but seem not eager to make them happen.

 

1 simple fix.

1. Make champions rankable and able to recieve mandatory status for other titles.

This would clear up so much in boxing it's ridiculous not to consider it.

 

Great idea, now just to convice the ABC's to agree to it..................don't hold your breath.

 

Apparently HBO doesn't have enough money left for another Klitschko fight before the year's end. This is why they left a February date open.
