He was scared of Dawson thats why he accepted Pascal's challenege technically Pascal is not on the level of Dawon thats why Hopkins will fight him ..Lets not forget how Jermain Taylor beat Hopkins ..

Hopkins wouldn't beat Dawson, there's a reason why he never wanted to fight him.
Stylistically Pascal is an easier fight for Hopkins than Dawson.
    Anyways Pascal by UD.

can you imagine the 12 round snore-fest against Dawson? it'd be Hopkins-Calzaghe all over again only possibly less interesting and with less flagrant flagrancy. :dead

pascals to young fit and strong for hop at this point , hopkins needs big breaks in fights and dosent win rounds clearly when he does win them so in montreal he wont get a decision in a close one and we know he aint knocking him out

Agreed Dawson would out hustle him ..I see him though clinching and grabbing Jean to a boring decision !

I would favour Pascal at this point in Hopkins career, but i wont be stupid enough to count Bhop out, he seems to thrive under pressure.

hopkins will get out worked by the machine that is pascal..didnt fight dawson because he is boring, and old bhop is boring so would be a terrible fight ending in a SD either way....p.s. so much for hopkins wanting koed by haye

I think B-Hop could beat Pascal pretty soundly. He's fought and beaten more explosive guys than this already and it's a given that he'll come to the fight in good shape. What an opportunity for him at this point in his career! I know a lot of guys on ESB don't like how he fights but I'm gonna be rooting for him.

That's great. I really want to see this fight. Hopkins somehow pulls out wins in situations like this, but this time I doubt it. Can never underestimate him though, and that's why it's very interesting.

Lets face it.......Pascal is really shyte. Hops is going to embarrass him then Dawson will beat him in thier rematch for the title vacated by Hops who won't fight Dawson........Unless Hops wants to embarrass Bute too, who is hyped to the gills and has fought.......NOONE.

Pascal is too good to lose to this current version of Hopkins.

I'll believe this fight is happening when I see them at the weigh-in.
