I just regret it can't happen in Summer for example, because Adamek nor Hopkins have dealt fights so far. Adamek probably will fight Bobby Gunn at first, not Matt Godfrey. Thoughts ?
Bobby Gunn, that is the biggest joke fight of the year. That is just plain sad. It will be a real decapitation.
That source mention Gunn? He's not ranked by the IBF. Can't believe he is ranked by others. No way Ademak bothers with that. Good on HBO if they give BHop a prod. Lately, seems he needs it.
Yep, they mentioned Gunn as a next opoonent for Adamek, but I also read about him on bokser.org while Adamek was saying about problems with Godfrey fight... Nothing good has come out lately. I would prefer some German like Licina for now then RJJ in Fall and later Hopkins that would be good, but it seems it's gonna be a crap time for Adamek, at least until January/February 2010.
Bobby Gunn should not be given a shot unless this is just a stay busy fight. Adamek can definitely beat Hopkins but I think that Roy is the better match up for him. I think Hopkins will be 187 years old by the time they fight. Speaking of old guys, why not fight Tarver?
