Hopkins admits he did not win the Pascal fight

He hasn't said he didn't win the fight, talking utter bollocks again.

 

If Hopkins won 8 rounds and even if you include the knockdowns, the fight would still be 114-112 in Hopkins favour (thats a rough guess).

 

He did win. Either way,m it has done a lot for his legacy, being as old as he is and clearly still the wiliest exponent of the sweet science currently going.

 

He also disputes one of the knockdowns, which would make it a clear win for him.

 

I still think he won.

 

Hopkins won the fight, he should be the recognised champ now.

 

I said before the fight that Hop would dig in and not be overtly negative and was labelled crazy.

 

Umm the quote right before the one you highlighted says "I believe I won the fight".. so how the hell did you interpret it as him admitting to not winning? You don't work for The Sun by any chance do you Rob?

Since when did whatever Hopkins say become pure fact anyway?

Some people as yourself scored it a draw, most scored it to Hopkins, even a few scored it to Pascal somehow. It's opinion I guess.

 

113-113 is the best you can give to Pascal IMO, though you wouldn't have to try hard. It was a close fight, hardly Oscar-Sturm!

But I felt B-Hop deserved it. I had it 114-112 on about four of six screenings.

 

Hopkins won it's not even debatable tbh. I think I gave him every round after the 3rd.

No, thats a slippery slope to go down. I didn't agree with the decision but Pascal is still champ.
