Jean Pascal fought ape **** against Carl Froch, Jean Pascal did not fight the same fight like he did against Chad Dawson. There's not many fighters that would fight Carl Froch the way Jean Pascal did.............................

"There's some Lions and Bears that would stick and move Carl Froch, and not just go straight at him.....seriously"

Jean Pascal fought a high intensity offensive fight against Carl Froch. This was one of the reason why i use to call him a ****** fighter, until he started to think about what he was doing.....maybe it was just passion.

The Bottom line is flea man, Jean Pascal has better agility and better athletic ability then Bernard Hopkins, has faster hand speed, he hits harder, throws more combinations, has better stamia.......and knows how to box. This is the problem here, he knows how to box.........!!!!1

What the **** is Bernard Hopkins gonna do..? Nobody here has said how he is going to win, just type bull**** saying UD, you ****ing pricks.

This is it for Bernard Hopkins he is going out..!!!

What is B-Hop going to do?!? Go through some other threads you'll see myself, and others, have given deep stylistic analysis on how B-Hop can win.

I personally think Pascal will win due to Hops advancing years and some of the reasons you've stated :good

However, Hopkins' knowledge of positioning, ability to implement a gameplan (and Pascal is clearly not infallible in the skillset department) experience and punching accuracy (when he does decide to throw he'll land) is clearly the flip side. Will it happen? Probably not.

But to completely discount B-Hops chances down to his (admittedly pathetic) showing against a shot to bits Roy is unfair IMO. There's the always the chance he'll 'get up' for this one a bit more than for a fight with a fellow old-timer who had been stopped in a round in his previous showing.

I have no doubt Hopkins will try and pull his low blow trick numerous times in this fight, despite him still being a gym rat in amazing shape, he just can't fight for the full 12 anymore. No doubt he won't get away with it in Montreal.

One other thing: despite his age, his canny defensive ability, lack of wear and tear due to being efficient throughout his tenure at the top of the game, and the fact he's always shown solid punch resistance and a stern chin (except the Merchado fight, though by viewing it I think it's hard to throw accusations of a dodgy chin) mean he's unlikely to just get blown out of there.

As long as he's in there he'll make it difficult for Pascal, and as ling as he's making it difficult for him he has a chance of winning. I also think Hopkins, not a noted puncher, still has enough of a dig to hurt Pascal and cause him problems.

I'm equal parts loving and dreading this mooted fight: in Hopkins, we have one of the fighters I admire the most, in this or any other era.

In Pascal, one of my favourite active fighters.

I'd prefer, JUST, for B-Hop to snatch a win, gain some closure and retire with his health at the top of the pile.

Bad matchup for Andrade IMO, despite his noted ability to absorb punishment, the fact he has shown he can be finished, going in with a bigger guy and banger in Braehmer with his face first approach will see him stopped in about 8 IMO. Good fight though.

    So is this definitely on???

Listen Flea Man, i asked you to tell me how Bernard Hopkins is going to beat Jean Pascal, and you could not even answer my question.

Nobody in the British Forum can answer my question, because Bernard Hopkins does not have the answer for Athletic fighters who know how to Box.

Joe Calzaghe did'nt even take him seriously and beat him. Roy Jones lost about 1 round against Hopkins, Jermaine Taylor beat him twice and totally neutralized him.

Jean Pascal will maybe, TKO Bernard Hopkins.

Bernard Hopkins can have all the "knowledge of positioning, ability to implement a gameplan....all he wants" there just ****ing words to me.

I don't think Bernard Hopkins could of beaten Chad Dawson, or fought the kind of fight Jean Pascal fought against Chad Dawson.

Jean Pascal is no ******, he can box, hits harder than Hopkins, throws more combinations, has immense athletic ability, better Stamina than Bernard Hopkins..........

    Bernard Hopkins is ****ed.

And another thing, you hope Bernard Hopkins can snatch a win from Jean Pascal. Listen you don't snatch wins from guys like Jean Pascal, showing them a Jab and some movement and abit of clever holding is not going to do **** all against this man.

You know if you met me in person, i would automatically think you are a ****. But then i give people chances to prove themselves, most of the times they do, prove themselves to be good people. Its just about being street wise, that's all it is. And its the same in boxing, i don't believe what is written or what they say on TV....i like fighters to prove to me.

Jean Pascal has did just that. There's only two fighters in the past 2 years who have got my upmost respect, Floyd Mayweather and now Jean Pascal.

Yes i did say Jean Pascal fought like a ******, and he did fight like a ****** against Carl Froch. I have said it time and time again, he threw no straight punches, he could of made that fight allot more in his favour.......if he threw straight punches............he looked like he had Razor Ruddock syndrome.

"One of the greatest ****** fighters of all-time"

Against Chad Dawson, i thought Jean Pascal was going to be exploited for just being a athletic fighter, with some power, who throws swinging shots most of the time. But i was wrong, and Jean Pascal showed that he not only had athletic ability but he has the hardwear of a good boxer. Jean Pascal up until Chad Dawson was fighting allot of good fighters, but none of them where good athlete's.......none of them where blessed with athleticism.

Until Chad Dawson, and sometimes it takes that type of a fight. To make fighters like Jean Pascal really think about what they are doing, because they can't get away with the stuff they do against lesser athlete's. Who are too slow to capitalize on their mistakes.

Jean Pascal at the moment is the best Light Heavyweight in the world, even though i think Chad Dawson will beat him in the rematch.

Dawson and Pascal both would TKO Bernard Hopkins.

Brilliant post:rofl So your default setting is set to '****' I understand that and sometimes struggle with that problem myself .

I worry those wide leaping swinging shots will give B-Hop room for counters followed by headbutt then grab/hold.

It's certainly not inconcievable that Hopkins "old man"s Pascal and wins. I thik he's clearly the underdog but people should be careful writing him off.

By the way, IF he (Hopkins) does win, where will he stand in people's ATG list? I remember a few years ago Boxing News printed an article that suggested that he was good but nowhere as good as some in America were suggesting. Would that position need to be revised should he beat Pascal?

Kool, I gave you more than enough. I also said I don't necessarily disagree with you.

I do not think 'Hopkins is ****ed' though, he's just too crafty to get stopped or battered. He will make it close either way IMO.
