Brewer had thicker and longer arms ( 78 inch reach against Calzaghe's 74-75 inch), and almost never jabbed in that fight, just occasional right hands - at the end of 10 rounds, Calzaghe was outlanding Brewer by more than 100 punches but Brewer had landed almost three times more body punches on Calzaghe... That gat to be tough!Yes, I think Hopkins fights much better on the inside the way he places his head behind his shoulders and sneaks in but Joe can get pretty wild and let his hands fly at close range like against Mitchell in the second round - that would be extremelly unwise for Hops. Bernard should keep that distance between them, close the gap and break off whenever he wants to.

That's true, Calzaghe definitely respects Hopkins and I believe Hopkins respects Calzaghe. The rivalry we see is always overblown. Calzaghe has made good comments about Hopkins in the past.

It wasn't me! It was sues2nd with the avatar! I was nearly throwing up every time I logged in and I had to have a word with sues2nd about it. Giving me nightmares and ****.

  5. Ok, if that's your opinion fair enough, I never said I was going to go trawling through posts looking for quotes but we both know it's been said.

Seems to me though most Hopkins fans can't make up their mind about anything. He's better at 175...not wait he's better suited...no wait it's his age....He will beat Joe.....Joe's 0 will go...no wait, if Hopkins fought Joe in his prime...

My factual analysis is just that. It's the facts as they are, simple. How you can dispute them I don't know. Maybe you think Ocasr, Tito & Winky suddenly grew 2 inches of height and gained thicker bones overnight? Is that it? Perhaps you think beating midgets makes you a better man? A superior Athlete maybe? My 'factual' analysis is actually a fair exhibit of how people are easily swayed by illusion, particuarly Hopkins has an IQ of 200 or something. The man's a cherry picker plain and simple muy statistics prove it. He will not win this and beats on smaller or gangly 1-dimensional foes - those are the facts and there's no way on this blue & green earth you can look at those figures and these 'key' fights and actually argue them with a clear conscience - you cannot.
How on earth you can dispute this with the cold hard figures in front of you I can't fathom, it's like you've got selective vision, like you honestly believe Winky, Tito & ODH actually hasd a chance in hell against him! The man is nothing special, he never was and come April 19th you will see this plain as day but I'd bet my mortgage you still make some 'prime' related excuse.

Remember buddy, come april 19th my factual analysis will prove true and since you quoted your ass get ready to be torn a new one....because they are the fact :rofl

I look like a newbie but I'm not. It's semi-frustrating because I've been reading ESB for about 4 years.

Dispute nothing...I dont need to. Go read my post CAREFULLY and you will see that your original post was not factual in any way, nor was it an analysis. You stated a biased opinion based on perception of truth (a false perception at that) and stated in a way to degrade, not analyze.

You stated Hopkins emancipated his way to 160. Yet ignore he fought there for over 15 years...always making weight. Ingoring the fact that his walk around weight (when not in training camp for a fight) was around 160-165...never more. Ignoring the fact that weight draining takes a HUGE toll on the body and anyone doing so for a prolonged period WOULD NOT be still fighting at 40+.

Facts are facts, what you stated was about as inaccurate as you can get.

Do I really need to break your post down for you again??? I mean, wasnt being exposed once in a day enough for you?

As for the Tito fight? Your telling me weight differential came into play in that fight? I mean, have you ever even SEEN that fight? It wasnt a case of fighter using his size advatage to wear his opponent down, it was a BOXING CLINIC! Same with Oscar....

Winky was a career 154 lber....Hopkins a career 160 lber...they were both blown up past their peak weights for the fight they had. Bernard is essentially 6 lbs naturally heavier than Wright. Im not making this up....Im stating FACTS!

And your "disection" of his resume? Again, ridiculous. As I stated, Hopkins and Calzaghe are alike in this fashion that people unfairly knock their resumes. I think Joe's resume is VERY GOOD, with wins vs Eubank, Mitchell, Reid, Lacy, Kessler, Bika, etc. Its sad that now the Calzaghe fans are doing the same thing they hate....knocking Bernard's FANTASTIC resume of wins vs Johnson, Jackson, Joppy, Tarver, Echols, Vanderpool, Tito, Oscar, Winky, Taylor (arguably), Eastman, etc.

Again, I could keep going, but I believe the quotes of "Sues2nd KO2 MasterCalzaghe" and "thread over" and such should point you to the "FACT" that your "FACTS" were mistaken.

Now go back to pretending to ignore my replies to your nonsense before you make an ass of yourself again.

    :hi:

Now I need you to read your post again and ask yourself...are those FACTS or your interpretations?

    Exactly.

(trust me...your the ONLY one who believes you know what your talking about...)

  13. Parhaps in the magical realm of bubblegum forest Winky, Felix & Oscar grew two inches and increased proportionally in bone mass while Tarver mastered the fine art of stylistic adaption.

Otherwise everything I said was fact.:hi: :hi: :hi:

if you want to engage the silver tongue to pull down your opponent then you need to be objective with your own man.

that means putting away your emotes and meeting someone on a level playing field because emotes are simply...dismissive.

open your mind, my friend :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

i'm here if you want to play - but first you need to tell me why joe deserves more respect on a global level than a legitimate (past) middleweight champ who held himself on the world stage and will gain greater worldwide recognition than joe when he retires?

    Strawman's arguement anyone???

    :patsch

You really are a clown. No other way around it.

Why dont we do what you do to Calzaghe's resume (BTW, I believe Joe's resume is bad just as much as YOU believe Hopkins resume is bad...meaning I DONT, I think its damn good).

Eubank - past his prime, record after Joe (0-2 with 1 TKO loss)
Lacy - Struggled with Peter Manfredo in his last fight (actually has looked bad in his last 2)
Kessler - Overrated by many. Good fighter...not a great one.
Brewer - 11 losses....8 before Joe....to some alsorand fighters as well.
Reid - Close fight....should have bowled over him. SD win vs a good fighter...not a great one.
Mitchell - has fought once since...getting TKOd. Good fighter...not a great one.

See what you can do if you break down a fighter's resume biasedly?

Now obviously I dont feel that way...as Joe Calzaghe is one of my favorite fighters all time. I feel his resume is quite good...damn good in fact. But anyones resume can be disected to look unfavorably upon....especially if you do so with an agenda.

Hell, while we are at it...Hearns (WW) and Duran (LW) were both MUCH smaller men than Hagler. Those are Marvin's two biggest wins. Take him out of the HOF right now.....

    :patsch

    My god your a jackass....
