Who had to travel for the fight?

    Lacy.

Who was the inexperienced fighter going into such a big fight?

    Lacy.

    Who won less rounds?

    Well.... obviously Lacy.

I just rewatched the last Lacy fight and he shows really good variety in speed and punching. He gets hit, but he has always gotten hit. Even if some fans didnt se it before the Calzaghe-fight Lacy has always gotten hit.

He looks like he is getting back up. However, he has always looked like he would have trouble against very skilled fighters and that is probably the same now.

Have a look at Lacy-Mendoza again, because it is actually a really entertaining fight.

Fights like Sheika-Lacy and Lacy-mendoza show Jeff for what he is: a limited plodder with decent power.

You know I think Jeff Lacey is an undersized Super Middle . . . I think he focused too much on putting on muscle instead of developing skills and speed and stamina, his power is not that great at super or he would have knocked out Epifanio . . . And his footspeed and handspeed are subpar

Barring a Lacy knockout, which seems very unlikely, Jermain Taylor should win an easy decision.

I agree with that comment about Lacy building muscle instead of skills and speed. I think he could of made middle weight or even maybe light middle weight if he had planned on that at the start of his career. He does have power though but he is shorter in size than Paul Williams and Antonio Margarito.

I have followed Lacy since he only had a few fights. And... Calzaghe fans don't like to hear this (and I am a Calzaghe fan myself), but Jeff is just as good now as he was before the Calzaghe fight. Have a look at the Wiggins fight. They split rounds until round 9 in 9 very even rounds (if I remember correctly) where Lacy win on stoppage. Wiggins... Wiggins?

Lacy never was a guy that would win almost every round and dominate fighters. He was a hyper-dangerous fighter that fights in spurts and there is a good chance that he will hit gold at least once during a fight. Also because of his really good chin.

That is how he was. That is how he is.

I think Taylor can win if he keeps his head cold at all times, but Lacy could stop Taylor. Certianly he could.

lacy is usually guaranteed excitement but unfortunately a skilled boxer takes him to school every time.

Jermain needs to fight behind his jab and keep his head moving. He won't win a slugfest against even this version of Left Hook. It's a more dangerous fight for him than I think most realize.

Well, just because you can identify a fighter's weaknesses doesn't mean it's childsplay to take advantage of them. What made Lacy-Calzaghe ridiculous was how easy Joe made it look, and not just in spots, the whole damn night.

I'm not a big Calzaghe fan, but even I've got to take my hat off to what a bona fide ass whipping he dished up that night.
