Most objective fight fans will agree that Hoplins defeated Pascal. But here is the bigger issue for boxing....You have a 45yr old BHop who is still giving your up and coming easier to promote stars fits......(see Taylor and Pavlik)...I believe it was not just home cooking but rather a financial decision. There is a huge fight looming between Brute and Pascal and although it would've happend with a loss to BHop by Pascal, the fight would have lost some of it's luster......It angers me because throwback fighters like BHop are hard to come by and to watch him get denied all the accolades he earned in the ring is a travesty. I also see why Mr. Dawson was not rushing to fight the Ageless Wonder aka The Executioner. What boxing needs is more Bernard Hopkins and less Pavliks, Pascals, Dawsons and Taylors......and you will get good fights without judges and promoters colluding to fix fights and rob worthy fighters of victories.

P.S. There will be no rematch....Pascal will fight Brute and Bhop will be 50 before Pascal agrees to fight him in the United States.

Fair enough.Golden Boy have very deep pockets and are in as thick as thiefs with the WBC.I wouldn't be surprised that Hopkins gets another crack at Pascal sooner than later-IF he wants it.
B-Hop may be just as happy to retire or take a shot next year with a weaker "Champion".
