hopkins did well but he was a master of ageing slow and his style helped so you cant really compare them in terms of ageing.

furthermore 3G is not finished - how do you know that 3G wont move up to LHW, unify titles and retire at 50? judge not, lest ye be judged.

 

When Hopkins was 36, he lost two fights to Jermain Taylor.

Golovkin also had 350 amateur fights before he ever turned pro, winning 345. Bernard did not. Unless intimidating his prison roommate counts as a win for Hopkins.

He didn't have 350 fights against world-class boxers before turning pro.

 

Hopkins was a freak. Don't try and act like people don't decline at that age. It's just an idiotic comparison.

 

That amateur record is fake. There is a list of Golovkin’s amateur record that involves around 90 fights. In those 80/90 fights he lost 6 or 7 of them. So it is safe to assume he lost even more than that.

Not to discredit the rest that you said.

 

Hopkins is literally the only fighter in history to do what he did. It's quite flattering to GGG you compare him to Hopkins to be honest.
