Yeah, little guys like Murray and Rubio who ran to 168 to get away from MW because after fighting GGG they realized they had no chance. Or that one guy that ran all the way to LHW to get away from GGG. What was his name again? Oh yeah, Chavez.

Murray was robbed in Martinez's hometown.

Little g doesn't even have to go that far up.
The SMW division is now almost as weak as the MW division. He should move to 168 and face Abraham, DeGale or Dirrell.
Since he KOs HWs, he should have no problem cleaning out the SMW division.

That way he can definitely secure his place in history by being the undisputed MW and SMW champion.
He's that good...or so they say.

Triple Coward isn't interested in doing things like that.

The previous 17 years Hopkins fought at MW. He moved up when he was 40. Why didn't he move up with 34 then? Whats your point?

In the end you are mostly remembered for who you beat. I really hope at some point we see GGG fight canelo, ward AND kovalev. He beats all 3 he's an atg

Maybe he'll wait until he's 40 like Hopkins.

Why didn't Hopkins move up when he was 33? Did you spend 7 years crying about it on your dial up? I didn't I had a part time job and homework. Maybe you should go your homework too.

I think there's an important distinguishing factor worth mentioning here:

Hopkins wasn't being hyped as a future superstar or the potential future face of boxing when he was 34.

Because he was boring, the public didn't care he had been the man in his division for 4 years. Oscar was fighting on PPV, you an Oscar man?

He did have the same goals as GGG though. To unify the division and beat the record number of defenses.

Hopkins struggled to get the bigger names in the ring, he didn't move up to a higher weight classes, and fought some not great challengers and below par mandatorys while he was doing it.

However most of the posters who hate on GGG seem to rave about Hopkins for doing it.
