its not because its calzaghe and the btittish he's abusing i've always thought it was funny the way he would sell tickets by being arrogant but he's saying stupid stuff it doesnt seem quit as witty but more abusive i still love him as a boxer but i think he's losing it as a talker

yeah, course i am. can't i just be a fan of a fighter without being a fanboy? funnily enough i support other fighters too, does that make me a fanboy? grow the **** up and leave the childish fanboy garbage behind.

i'm fully aware joe has his faults and doesn't have the most eye catching of resumes. on the other hand, not everyone he has faced is some overrated eurobum. there is some sensible, logical middle ground here.

Yes I saw those fights. Colin Lynes with a very tidy performance, I think he should target a fight with Rees or Olegusen who was very flat & dissapointing with his performance on friday who I had losing at least the first 4 rounds. Michael Hunter was poor, I'm hoping he's not shot because he has given some real excitement domestically in recent years but I fear too many hard nights may have taken their toll.

I am working thanks, In between underwriting mortgages I quickly nip on here for a little respite.:good

Hunter was fighting dirty too.....looked unfit I thought

Lynes definitely looks the part all of a sudden but that Finnish guy was a poor challenger

Hopefully thats all it was for Hunter but I do fear the worst I'm afraid.

Yeah I agree, Lynes isn't a world beater but I think he deserves one good payday & a fight with Rees may just provide that.

Rees might struggle in his next fight so I think Lynes should beat up Olosegun and try for the WBU or WBO as is the British way

Bernard Hopkins... damn this man is a psychologist's dream. He went to jail some 20 years ago and he still harps on about it. He is very entertaining though, it's easy to see why he manages to drum up so many PPV sales. Having seen all the interviews of late, he clearly likes to be the most vocal, most cutting and the one to stir up some ****. He fits the role brilliantly and with just a small hint of tongue-in-cheek, I'm begining to like him.

The only problem is that this is the fight he's trying hard to win now while Calzaghe is in the gym, only concerned about his fitness and speed, to be ready for the middle of April. Hopkins is in fight mode now, maybe he's always in fight mode but the way he snapped at Bunce makes me feel he's already on edge.

I may be wrong but I really feel that for all the bravado, Hopkins knows he's in against a guy who can possibly beat him well.

Obviously if Rees loses then that would scupper that, I just think Lynes is a good honest bloke who deserves one good pay & who probably doesn't have long left in the game. He won't get a fight with Witter or Hatton so, unfortuantely, I'm struggling to find a big fight for him. Olusegun is the next logical option but it won't be a "big" fight.

Yeah I think Lynes is destined for European bouts until he calls it a day....

Do you seriously think that Hopkins can beat Calzaghe in April though?? Honestly??

It's always a possibility. Only a fool would rule it out.

Im not saying he has no chance but I can only envisage Calzaghe losing by KO which looks the least likely way Hopkins can actually win.....

If Calzaghe fights his fight, and doesnt alter his offense beyond making sure he doesnt leave himself open to Hopkins variety of counters, he will win. Only nerves and mismanagment will ruin this fight for him.
