i wondered how long it was gonna take for hopkins to call him out, after hopkins beating pavlik the other night his credibility as an opponent has shot up again, if this fight happens it has to happen in wales as a send off for both fighters, surely joe will want to give a better performance against hopkins rather than it going down that he was taking to a SD.

the only thing "SD" about the last fight is that it was in the US with biased judges. It shoulda been a UD.

I doubt very seriously Calzaghe would agree to fight Hopkins again. Credit to him if he's willing.

maybe your right and it should have been a UD but the records dont lie and that could itch at calzaghe, i think in wales that he will win more comfortably if i am honest,

I think he could improve slightly on the last performance. The 2 of them will make it very ugly again. Joe will have to push and push again and not give Hop room to work. This will again tire out Hop in the later rounds.
I see another close decision victory for Joe.

I would love to see this fight.

They should do it in Cardiff and if Joe wins, both hang them up. If Hopkins wins, back to Las Vegas for the rubber.

I think this would be a better option, financially and for his resume then say, a Chad Dawson fight. Dawson has no exposure here in the UK to the general public but a rematch to settle the S/D against the well known Bernard Hopkins could be promoted very easily.

Has to happen at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff though or even Wembley. I'd go to it.

I would also like to see Calzaghe get a U/D against Hopkins to end his career.

Jokes aside, Calzaghe and Hopkins have something going on between them and I don't think it's either personal or a fix, but it's something... Both long time title holders and most experienced, smart fellas start and restart issues between them that every fan gets involved in, then they say something to each other, laugh and wink at the end of the fight... Listen, if Calzaghe beats Roy soundly, then he's not going towards Dawson so why wouldn't he take Nard in the UK? Actually Floyd wanted to give Hatton the rematch in the UK... All these guys want is your money and you fall each and every time for the so-called arguments between them. Unbelievable stuff, but that's how some Hollywood movies generate so much money, people really want to watch and the actors, directors and producers go for it.

Nard calling out Calzaghe is a bit of a pointless exercise on two levels. Firstly, after saturday night Hopkins looks like an oponent with a pulse again and we all know how allergic to these types JC is. Secondly, RJJ will beat JC in a couple of weeks setting up a title fight between RJJ and BH...this would be a perfect sendoff for both men as their last title fight would be a re-run of both of their first.

Perfect sendoff? Their first fight was shite - a rematch would be even worse.

he will accept IF he wins....it would be a ton of money, him coming off a win against Jones, and Hop coming off a win against Pavlik, i'm positive he wouldnt turn that down

but this time... NO JOE CORTEZ

Calzaghe will definately take the rematch. Good money & he already beat him once without any real trouble he has nothing to fear from hopkins.
