The most probable outcome according to most of the fans and experts is: Calzaghe uses his superior speed and punch output to win a UD over 43 years old crafty Hopkins, who will try to win as many rounds as he can and make the fight very competitive. In a perfect world or in a computer simulation maybe... but in boxing, anything can happen...

Now you can vote for outcomes and turn of events just a few expect, but you think can actually happen.

Multiple choices, feel free to vote!

    -Fight ends in a draw
-Fight ends before the start of the 5th, NC or after that: technical draw or TD
    -Calzaghe stops iron-chinned Hopkins
    -Hopkins outboxes Tommy-Gun Calzaghe
    -Controversial decision or controversial stoppage
-Hopkins causes a cut using his head, will affect Calzaghe’s performance
-Either or both fighters to lose point(s)/DQd for using dirty tactics
-Calzaghe hurts his hands, will affect performance seriously/fight will be off before fight night
-Hopkins will look very old (compared to himself, not to Calzaghe)
-Calzaghe will look terribly weak and slow in LHW

    I Choose..
    "Hopkins outboxes Tommy-Gun Calzaghe"

Hopkins has Superior Experience in Big Fights.
The Southpaw Style of Joe Will have No advantage Against the Vet.
+ Calzaghe ain't exactly a young Boxer himself.
This Fight Will be the last Hurrrah For Both.

Both Of These fighters are due A sound Decisive beating in the ring.
This Fight Should provide that for One Of Them.
I'm Going Outside the Box & Picking Bernard By Uni Decision.
    (Possible late Round T.K.O.)

'All of the above'? This fight is going to be a mess, full of holding and crap and dirty tactics and probably questionable rulings by the referee and even more questionable judging. A controversial decision is almost assured, though so is a stoppage on a headbutt, though so is totally freakish unexpected outcome. Ultimately, I think five minutes after the finish this board will be littered with people bitching about something or another. That's inevitable.

    Runaway UD for JC.

There is no chance for Hopkins to win this one, only to make it close, and I am leaning on the former.

I love Hopkins but JC's offensive style, and Hopkin's age, will be the difference.

I couldn't add it to the poll but anyone expect that Joe will feel uncomfortable fighting in the US or he will have acclimatization problems?

I went for two options on the poll:

Calzaghe hurts his hands, will affect performance seriously.
Calzaghe (despite injury) stops iron-chinned Hopkins.

More and more I'm thinking about this fight and as the fight is getting closer, the more chance I give to Hopkins. Today I still say Joe Calzaghe on points... But Hopkins will make Joe fight a very ugly fight and if Calzaghe can't sort out Bernard's style in the first 2 rounds, I don't think that the punch output will be good enough since Hopkins is a defensive master and will break that great workrate... The question is: how many shots Joe will able to throw and how many can he land?

So many questions and that makes the fight more exciting than any press conference show... Please vote if you think than any of the situations from above is possible!

Wow, 24/7 was great. Just one week until fight night, until the event of the year... It's not gonna be pretty, but the skill level is sky high.

Today I'm leaning back to my original prediction: convincing Calzaghe UD victory. And I see a bit less chance to the unexpected to happen. And you?

Watching these videos I'm getting the feeling that Calzaghe will gain a good amount of firepower in moving up. On the other hand, hitting with 7 more pounds behind every punch might increase the chance of an injury.

What do you think? Will Calzaghe be much more powerful and able to hurt Hopkins because he's 175 now, and will he risk a hand injury by placing harder shots on his opponent?

I think the odds are greater that little Joe will hurt his tiny chin running into a real masterboxer fist.
Hopkins has fought much bigger punchers then Joe. I don't believe there is any way Joe's punches will have a lot of effect on Hopkins.

That poster doesn't even look like Hopkins.
Looks more like Mr. T in Rocky.
    Intentional?

Plus it looks like they had Joe standing on a soap box so he could be at eye level with Hopkins. Most of the live photos have Joe looking up at Hopkins.
