The critics will always be critics, otherwise they'd be fans. JC no longer feels the need to bang his own drum anymore, the days of him clamouring for respect and adulation have come and gone. It's time to stop caring what an ever decreasing number of people think.

A good solid win beyond reasonable doubt by points without getting caught too many times will be the best outcome if he wants to silence the critics.

Personally, I'd like to see a different fight.

Isnt Hopkins the one who ruins opponents style? you guys are just giving the fight to Joe based on amount of punches thrown. This is not an amatuer fight! those punches have to land Bhop has greta D if that is all your basing it on you will be very dissappointed come fight night for sure

I have been saying this since last month. Bhops wins via boring controversial decission.

Less punches that hit the target against volume of punches that doesn't hit and matter.

    :yep

Are you guys for real or are you seriously delusional?

I give it to Joe on workrate, movement, angles, stamina, defence, the will to trade toe to toe, go to war, box, brawl, fight inside, fight outside, guts, determination and phenomenal will power.

You guys are ****ing insane, I swear.

Calzaghe is much better than Hopkins at this time, he is faster, better stamina, has a good chin, is southpaw, etc., he should win, but he will also have to fight the judges and ref also.

Not really, it's those who feel their favorite fighter's are ****ing superheroes and incapable of losing who are delusional. Not Calzaghe or Hopkins fans who think he will win, mind you, but the obsessed "fans" bordering on stalkers crowding this and most boxing forums today. Newsflash: there are intangeables in the sport of boxing. Calzaghe's much lauded workrate and activity could work against him. It also might win him the fight. But these premature victory party threads where you guys have decided the outcome of a fight you've proven an inability to view objectively are getting mighty stale about now.

Hopefully the next big fight between Europe & the U.S. will take place in Europe.

The atmosphere over there before a big fight is amazing.

I'll try to keep quiet besides randomly screaming about how Calzaghe has no weaknesses whatsoever in hopes of keeping on your good side. Let's be pen pals!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has never been stopped, and JC isn't a hard puncher. I don't see anyway JC stops him.
