You're telling me he hasn't had to resign with Warren between the time he beat Eubank & now. Don't think so.
Nah, but he may have had a long conract that was going to come to an end. Then he gets Lacy then Kessler and now Hopkins.
I don't understand how should one refer to one given fighter these days. The Ring Magazine and Ed-in-Chief Nigel Collins referred to WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF titleholders ( and more IBO, WBU, IBC, IBA, et cetera) as alphabet organizations champions and Bernard as the TRUE Lt Heavyweight Champion since he won the Lineal Championship from Antonio Tarver ( the IBO Champ. as well) in Edition October 2006. Actually, Bernard announced retirement after winning that title and the sub-statement would be that he has no time/conditions to go through unification fights in the Division. Frank Warren referred to Hopkins as Undisputed Champion, not Schaefer, not Hopkins, just Warren and Nigel Collins so what's the big deal about it?... Is Arthur Abraham a legitimate champion back again then and Kelly Pavlik no longer Undisputed? Let's not use double-standards here... There must be a reason Calzaghe is fighting Bernard and not defending his WBC/WBA/WBO SMW unified Championship ( never defended the IBF strap) and not challenging WBC LHWT Champ Chad Dawson, WBA 175-pound titlist Danny Green, IBF Champ Clinton Woods or WBO light-heavy title holder Zsolt Erdei instead (?).
