You know nothing mate, your constant bitching about Calzaghe is ridiculous.

And I noticed you placed Ricky Hatton above him in your P4P list earlier what a joke. :patsch

The guy was not really asking anything about strategy but getting Bernard into a debate on how he would have no chance fighting a smart fight ( on the back foot) against Joe which is a mind game largely used by Calzaghe's supporters. And he was clearly unprofessional as he suggested Hopkins' corner to act dirty ( like Dundee in the famous glove affair to buy Ali time after the knockdown inflicted by Cooper) just because Bernard mentioned a famous US-UK confrontation of old when responding to predictions... Actually, Bernard did a lot of promo stuff in the good sense since both Frank Warren and Joe were tongue tied. The Setanta journalist must consider that he's not supposed to get personal with a given fighter - or is HBO to intimidate Joe C once he lands on US soil? Bernard did well to let the smart ass off the hook...

He only started being a knob after hopkins did. I dont want 2 argue about this but watch the video, I think its pretty obvious.

He recalled a piece of history that was relevant to the conversation and would have been laughed off by anyone who wasnt a *****

Sorry, the manner in which he was asked was stupid.

Don't even know why I'm getting into this again because it's obvious anything Hopkins does from now on will be wrong. If I dare even pull any of you up on it hoards of Joe zealots will come pouring onto the thread to defend him.

Glad to hear it. Lost in translation.

As opposed to the constant Hopkins bitching which is fine I guess? My main gripes are with Joe's resume which are difficult to refute.

Show me where I placed Hatton above Joe. Show us all now.

Nice to see an objective opinion. If a US "journalist" got like that with Joe there would be outrage on these boards.

calzaghe has always been grateful to warren.

cos warren got him his world title at a time when joe was getting next to no profile winning british titles and fighting on crap faraway channels like eurosport (no disrespect to eurosport :yep).

I really don't think the reporter wud have taken the **** so much if Hopkins wasn't being so agressive & taking offence 2 normal questioning in the first place. It's funny how even a spoiled, spiky haired, hollyoaks watching reporter isn't even scared of Hopkins. Rowdy british reporters. Makes a good interview tho

There's being grateful & then there's fighting Tocker Pudwill & Mario Veit twice. Come on call a spade a spade or am I being unreasonable?

    Apologies it wasn't you.

But it's clear you have issues with Calzghe it's pretty pathetic really. The only guy that you have an argument that Calzaghe didn't fight was Glen Johnson and you know nothing regarding the personal issues and injury he went through.

Yes, Calzaghe maybe should have tried to fight in USA before now but how often has Hopkins even fought outside his own country?

That piece of history was brought up by Bernard and concerning predictions - obviously that makes no sense since Joe C is closer to Ali than Bernard is - but there's no doubt that the Setanta guy got personal with that Ali-Cooper fight reminder because he was the one to talk about the glove incident that goes on mostly in british boxing fans' minds ( rightfully I would say). Bernard does a lot of acting but we should remember he's no Wlad Klitschko Phd fighter, B-hop is an ex-con. Yes, he was unnecessarily aggressive towards the journalist and that has a lot to do with his wrong sense of pugilistic superiority amongst european fighters too.

It's pretty easy to get large in the safety of a room with lots people & he admitted he was scared anyway so I don't know what you are trying to prove there. Maybe he would have been more amiable if he hadn't had loads of football thugs chanting "Hopkins is a wanker" at him last December. Anyway, this is silly it's obvious Hopkins can do no right & Joe can do no wrong to most of you guys so I see no point in continuing this discussion.

If only Joe fought Robert Allen 3 times

Would have secured his legacy :-(

Well Bernard fought Allen three times... twice to a conclusion, so sometimes fighters just rematch people who they beat.
