I agree. Kelly would be getting ***** slapped, until that point in the fight were things change completely around, most likely on 1 punch & Joe is down where he's been before.

HAHAHA! Nicely done my good sir.

I am excited about this fight, I like Joe Calzaghe and I am anxious to see him slippity-slap Ol' Popkins into retirement. Its going to be a competitive fight but I think Calzaghe will UD him, ill be pulling for him.

It won't be competitive, even Wright took 4 rounds off of Hopkins, this has wipe out written all over it.

It's too bad it won't be in yankee stadium haha. I am looking forward to it. We may even see Hopkins go down at least once in this fight due to Calzaghe's work rate. Bernard being as old as the telephone might also have something to do with that of course.

I'm tipping Calzaghe to stop Hopkins, mostly due to Hopkins' exhaustion. He had to gain a second wind against Winky Wright guys, Calzaghe's frantic pace and awkward style is going to have him worn out by round 5 or 6 and he'll eat his fair share of punches in this, will find Calzaghe's jab a nightmare and his workrate unbearable.

Clinching won't save him because Calzaghe mauls people in the clinch and he just lacks to power to stop him in his tracks enough to cull the workrate.

Not to mention the damn footspeed and in and out movement... this is a stylistic nightmare for Hopkins at any point, and at his shot state, he's going to get crucified.

While I understand why it's being made, I'm disapointed in Calzaghe for not gunning for Woods even, because at least Woods isn't shot.

    The 8th!? That's a Tuesday. I don't think so. It's probably the 12th.

calzaghe ud. just watch hopkins v. wright. hopkins won because wright was crap at that weight and was nothing like himself in that fight. all hopkins had to do to win that fight was physically be in the ring, and i'm guessin it'll take a teensy bit more than that to beat joe and his slaps.

Hopkins getting the **** beat out of him for 10 rounds until they have to stop it is not what I call boring.

I bet Hopkins will get real dirty before accepting defeat and with an Oscar ref Joe might want to start practicing on some dirty deeds himself. Elbow for elbow, headbutt for headbutt.

If Calzaghe won, I would recognize him as the true champ at 175.
