On a serious note, Hopkins can never be counted out. If Joe thinks he will have easy work with Nard he will be in for a big suprise. Cal is getting into the ring with a fighter who is smarter, a better inside fighter, and will make it a dirty fight.

Joe is younger and closer to his prime but Hopkins keeps proving that he does not fight like a fighter in his 40's.

well i think bhops tactics will be making it a inside fight and putting a headbut here and there to unsettle JC dirty fighter as bhop is the ref SHOULD stop this stuff these days but its surprising how much BHOP gets away with:patsch

The same fight Glenn Hamada was watching (judge ringside) - the two others had Wright winning 3...

So this just confirms that all the Calzaghe fans who called Hopkins a "*****" and that he was avoiding Calzaghe are 100% correct.

    Oh wait........

It's a no loss situation for Hopkins now. Lose and he's a relic. Win and he's a messiah

As a bonus he makes a nice little sum

    Welcome to boxing

Seems likely as Joe gets better each round
Kessler easily hits alot harder than Pavlik and then theres his hookin hand, Joe seemed to take alot of them very well for a full 12. He`s a gud fighter Pavlik but not in Joe`s league, c`mon:p

    YEP

All the people who said Joe is ducking Hopkins or that Hopkins is ducking Joe have just been proved to be exactly what they are, complete ****ing idiots.

  9. This fight is nothing more to Joe than a warm up & stepping stone before his final matchup.

The only reason Joe even took this fight is to show those inside America what everyone outside their country already knew for the last several years.

Nope I wont see this one. What does this fight prove?

If JC wins - Everyone will say he beat an old man
If Hopkins wins - Everyone says that JC was never that good and he never fought anyone at BHOP's calliber, therefore discrediting his career.

It's a no win for both fighters, ESPECIALLY JC!

This fight is half a decade too late but ill still take it.

Hopkins is recognised as the legit number 1 at 175, and if Hop is who he has to beat to get it then so be it. He'll also add the legendary name on the record.

Calzaghe UD or maybe a late TKO.

If Hopkins is smarter than Joe, why did Hopkins give away two of his biggest fights against Taylor due to inactivity? You can see how Hopkins is celebrating during breaks between the later rounds in the Taylor fights, so sure of himself and the scorecards. That is plain stupid. Joe will never give away a fight due to underperforming. A fighter who gives a fight away against a less skilled opponent and then repeats the mistake in the rematch lacks some aspect of intelligence o Hopkins was so past his prime physically that he simply couldn't keep up with Taylor's early pace. Either possibility is not a good one when facing Joe.

Us boxing fans are always quick to jump the gun. We are always accusing someone for certain fights not being made.It made me laugh when I hear Joe is ducking Lacy/Kessler/Hopkins and it makes me laugh harder when i hear stuff like Mayweather is ducking Cotto etc

Wasnt long ago we accused Enzo of ducking Haye...
