At this stage, Calzaghe is just far too active and unconventional for Hopkins. I'd expect Joe to win an tough yet clear decision. Calzaghe 116-112 Hopkins
I agree, I said so in the R by R thread. Joe throws too many punches for a no action guy like Bernard. Bernard is more skilled but he's too old at this point.
Don't think so pal. I give Calzaghe all the respect in the world, but Hopkins is a whole different bread than Kessler. He's a Philly fighter, and he'll be able to handle a guy like Calzaghe.
Cal is good for sure but still is very wild with punches...he threw a large number of wild hooks and a lot of pitty pat shots with Kessler who just got overwhelmed....B-Hop would have none of that.
Don't under estimate father time. Everytime I doubt him, he proves me wrong. Time will tell though :yep
Yea I think he wins the fight 10 rounds to 2....when Jermain put the effort in he won the round, Calzaghe puts the effort in every round
I agree with this. A prime Hopkins would give him hell but Calzaghe is just to active for a 40+ Hopkins.
Hopkins would beat him, if Hopkins got hit behind the head like that he would of head butted the **** out of Calzaghe. Hopkins is too tough for Calzaghe to beat IMO.
