I will say this Hopkins is the master of getting people to fight his fight and Joe's workrate will drop against him.

Agreed. Hop has absolutely no chance at this stage. I have no desire to see that fight.

I love the old man (obviously), but if you think he'll KO Calzaghe, I've got to wonder if you've seen him fight in the last five years.

The only way Hopkins beats Calzaghe is if he can outslick him, and its hard to see that happening. Hard but not impossible. Make him a 3 to 1 dog and I'd hop on board.

i think its fair comment that not many people out there can beat him now

Pavlik-seems too much a one paced fighter, going in straight lines
Hopkins-volume from Calzaghe would win him this
    Winky-a level below JC
Taylor-dont think Taylor would outbox him, although id like to see that fight

Yes he can but hopkins isnt the kind of fighter who gets hit very often..

Hopkins is boring as bat**** but would still find a way to beat calzaghe in a boring 12rnd ud.

But seeing calzaghe needs hopkins on his resume and hopkins pretty much dont need **** off calzaghe as his legacy as a modern day great is confirmed its going to take a us based bout with hopkins getting more money than calzaghe for this bout to eventuate.

B-hop has too big of a ego to let some1 like joe calzaghe and his promotional team call the shots..

I honestly think it would have to be a 60/40 going to b-hop in the money with him also getting full promotional rights through golden boy promotions..

Cant see Frank THE GRUB Warren letting that happen so no fight people.

    Bring on Pavlik.

You know he aint got no ego or any hidden agendas so its the perfect fight for joe.

Would be a much entertaining bout aswell.

True, and Hopkins still has some of the best defensive head movement left in the game. I don't see the old man getting worked by the jab the way Kessler did tonight. I do see him having problems dealing with Joe's footspeed an ability to dart in and out. Hopkins needs a stationary target these days. Calzaghe is anything but stationary.

But just the fact that Calzaghe can't KO Hopkins means the old fart has a shot at a decision.

True, but even then, the lower punch output will be enough to win for Calzaghe. It'll be boring as ****, but Calzaghe will win, I'm 100% confident about that.

I'm confident that Hopkins will continue to duck his biggest rival by miles, though.

Yeah I noticed there were alot of times when Calzaghe was off balance after throwing shots. Kessler was usually out of range at this point because he backed up to avoid the punch that missed and Calzaghe was able to get back on track before Kessler could do anything about it.

It would take a skilled fighter to do it, but Calzaghe could be open for a nasty counter while hes off balance and it would be a good chance of him getting knocked down while off balance.

I dont think at his age hops will be able to win it, but a younger hops could have or maybe like a 168 james toney, but these days, if he fights like he did tonight, there isnt anyone I would pick over Calfaggi

Exactly, this is why I say u can't count B-hop out. He makes people change their fight plans. He's the best at it.

You will post that 1 million times ? Calzaghe just schooled a guy who does everything better than Bute. Bute's belt means nothing, he is just another guy in the top 10...

Just thinking about it, I'd back Kessler to beat hopkins too. Once again, too active, although it would be much closer because of the styles involved.

But Calzaghe/Hopkins would be easy to pick.

Hopkins has little chance of outscoring Calazghe now. Calazaghe is a better boxer and is younger and would have beaten Hopkins in his prime which he is not at now. They would both make a few quid though out of a match up.

Dude, calm down! Remember that Bernard has never dominated, let alone knocked out.
