Am glad enrique is geting this chance, the guy has paid his due's, but he is only a natural middleweight and not even a top ten middle, i would of liked to of seen hopkins take on bika or the the destoryer david lopez
Couple things. This is a tune-up. He's 44 and nearing the end of his career, its perfectly acceptable if he cherry-picks here.
It's a tune up for a 44 year old ATG who's coming off of back to back fights with Jermain Taylor, Antonio Tarver, Winky Wright, Joe Calzaghe and Kelly Pavlik...... The guy deserves an easy one.

u cant have SUPER MEGA HBO PPV TYPE fights every fight! now n again gotta have a normal 1. or else u'll get burned out. anyway , this is a showcase fight building up to a Jones-Hopkins 2 fight. kinda like when Chavez fought DeLaHoya the 1st time, before that they had a showcase bill where DeLaHoya foght Daryl Tyson & JCChavez fought scott walker. Enrique Ornelas in boxing circles is known to be tough but like u said he's not fighting his normal weight. Definition of cherry picker is some1 who fights some1 where he has 99% chance of winning + he gets paid good! I dont think this is a mega-bucks fights so the purpose of this fight was just to avoid ring rust.
Hops wanted a tune up. Ornales felt he got screwed out of a Pavlik fight in his title eliminator with Rubio, and desperately wanted ANY fight with a big name. Both BHop and Ornales have ties to GBP. Do the ****ing math dim wit.
No point to say much cause the other posters already broke it down. I am happy as a fan of Hops and Jones and feel very happy to watch these two legends fight on basic cable.
