See how this guy throws American fighters under the bus just to try to prove he's objective...

You don't see Argentines....Mexicans...Russians ect doing weak-as.s shi.t like that.

Kovalev would end his career if they fought.

Hopkins excels against one-dimensional sluggers, but that's not what Kovalev is. It's the combination and volume punching with power (and the body attack) that will make the old master look his age. There's no shame in it- no fighter lasts forever.

Kovalev would have had to wait for Hopkins vs Murat to fight before Kovalev can take on Hopkins. That means he couldn't fight Kovalev until next year at the earliest. There's also no guarantee that Hopkins would win and/or fight him.

What Kovalev did wasn't the easiest route, it was the best route. He took a sure thing and made the best of it.

If Hopkins want to fight after Murat, I'm sure Kovalev would have no problem getting in the ring with him.

Hopkins has a point. Kovalev is still untested but he is better than hype job GGG.

You don't understand **** about styles. There's no such style as "being aggressive". Calzaghe was plenty aggressive and on the front foot against Hopkins pretty much the entire fight. Kovalev is more similar to Calzaghe than Pavlik and hits much harder than either of them.

I could only tolerate about 45 seconds of that jackass going into full ****** mode. He is clearly wary of kovalev or he would not have set up that whole abortion of an interview. For a fighter who claims to hate boxing polotics and to have been a victim of them on numerous occasions, he sure does not hesitate to bring them out front and center when it suits him. Looks like we can add hypocrite to his laundry list of charms.

Hopkins is rushing towards it (using all his tricks as a promoter and boxer :D ...)

The Plan is that Cloud picks up the WBC (if he doesn't get knocked out)

    Plan A:
Hopkins vs Cloud 2 (WBC + IBF)
Hopkins vs Barker (WBC + WBO + IBF)

    Plan B:
Hopkins vs Stevenson (WBC + IBF)
Hopkins vs Barker (WBC + WBO + IBF)

In all scenarios he can't get the WBA with ease, Hopkins best chance is to find a way to make Kovalev vs Ward. As a fight between Ward & Kovalev is good news for Hopkins no matter what was the outcome & they both can do it on HBO, although its not a good for whoever moves down or up.

Kovalev would knock Hopkins out period! Hell, Hopkins lost to Dawson! Kovalev did not want to wait for a title fight forever, so he took the quickest title shot. Hopkins did not want to fight him, and for good reason. Calzaghe beat Hopkins, so did Roy Jones and even the idiot Dawson!

You do not want to hear what you don't want to hear, so you call others a bunch of names, but that does not change the facts..............

The way I look at it, Kovalev failed to KO Boone (tough fighter but he has losing record) & settled for a draw with Grover Young (Good country boy with a losing record). So I think its irrational to assume he can KO Hopkins, because there is nothing to base that on? Hopkins is not the type that gets KOed :yep
