He giving himself props for fighting in 2 divisions. Yet ignoring the fact that mayweather has fought in 5 divisions. That **** is ******ed

I'm not calling Floyd the GOAT. I never said that, and I probably never will. But I know the difference between when someone is calling someone out based on hate/envy/jealousy, and when someone is calling someone out because they actually mean it.

History shows that B-Hop and Floyd have a good relationship. Never hate on either side. B-Hop is on record saying that Floyd is top 3 all time. He's lauding Floyd here. What does money have to do with who's a better fighter? I guess you think Tyson is better than Ali because he made a lot more money.

your X amount of belts in X amount of classes is only worth as much as your competition. Belts' value is diminished because now there are junior/super classes and four belts per class. When someone like Adrien Broner is a 2 division champ after skipping 140 that shows how relatively meaningless belts are. Being a world champion doesnt make you an elite boxer. Is Malignaggi elite then?


With the exception of Marquez (undersized and tailor made stylistically), literally all of Floyd's wins come against the following
1) paper champions who have NEVER beaten one top level fighter (Hernandez, Manfredy, Corrales, Baldomir, Judah, Gatti, Ortiz, Castillo)
2) washed up fighters past their best (Oscar - who isn't any good in his prime in the first place, Cotto, Mosley)
3) padded record fighters with hype jobs by the media with no actual substance and who have NEVER beaten a top fighter in their life (Hatton, Canelo, Corrals)
4) overrated people on the p4p rankings (Corrales, Canelo, Hatton)
5) Bums in general (Canelo, Ortiz, Guerrero, Corrales, Baldomir, Mitchell, Ndou, , Hatton, Pep, Juuko, Gerena, Vargas, Corley, Bruseles, Chavez, Sosa)

Bernard fights much better competition than Floyd. And he beats them better - prime Trinidad, Tarver (after going up 2 classes when Floyd won't even fight Winky prime Sergio or Paul Williams at 154), Oscar (who was not as washed up as when he gave Floyd problems), Pascal twice, Calzaghe robbery, Winky Wright,

now who did he lose to - prime Roy Jones, Jermain Taylor in 2 close decisions, Chad Dawson. robbery against Calzaghe. All but 2 of his losses (his first fight and prime Roy Jones who beats almost everyone) come when he's 40+ years old.

When you don't know what you're talking about, don't talk

 

Hopkins coming off losses made it much easier for him to take a risk by going up in weight. He had to take extra chances having experienced losses in his own division.

So I suppose to give hopkins credit for going up in weight but forget about the losses he experienced in his previous division. **** out of here.

Same thing with Cotto. Cotto goes up to middleweight to face Martinez. That is a big risk but having already lost to pac, mayweather and trout, cotto feels he needs to take these risks now to stay relevant as a top fighter. Even if Cotto wins, you think we just gonna forget his losses? Hell no.

It much easier to take risk when you have nothing to lose.

Now with all that being said floyd has continued to go up in weight and challenge himself. 5 divisions defeating champion after champion and yet he still hasn't taken a loss but he still fighting world champions in nearly every fight.

And Maidana isnt a cherry pick. Who should FLoyd be fighting right now then? Answer me that. If not Maidana, who should it be? A fight that's doable. Makes financial sense. And is realistic as far as networks and ****. Who is it? If not the guy who's coming off the biggest win of his career. 4-0 win streak. Has never looked better than he does now, and has a belt. Who's a better fight right now then that?

 

his not hating on him based on that, his more hating on the fact that back then if fighters kept winning they would keep moving up in division, Ray Robinson started off at 135 and went all the way to 175 at light heavyweight to challenge himself.

Mayweathers gone from 130 to 154(made canelo go down to 152) and i cant see him going to middleweight unless Cotto somehow manages to win. His basically saying if Mayweather want to call himself the greatest he should continue to move up and challenge himself until he cant no longer win.

 

We can add a negative adjective for every fighter on ANYONE's record. That proves nothing but your negative bias. I don't even wanna argue. I don't have the patience to be honest.

That's easy to say when you don't be making $40 million a fight and you have already experienced a number of losses to allow you to take such risks.

I said it before and I will say it again. You think Cotto going up to Middleweight and winning a title against Martinez, will somehow erase his losses against pac, mayweather and trout? No way will it. All Cotto is doing is adding to his legacy in an attempt to stay relevant as a top boxer.
