Landing on your arm can easily damage your shoulder. If you've experienced this, you would know. By just watching a ****ing video, you can't determine the extent of an injury. Landing on an elbow is one of the worst ways to land. Trust me.

Like I said, falling awkwardly on your arm/elbow can dislocate, or separate a shoulder from the collarbone. Falling/being thrown backwards like Hopkins was, then landing awkwardly, whilst in all likelihood his muscles were unprepared to provide resistance, or that the force of him falling doesn't allow his muscles to resist...can lead to a dislocation, or separation.
