Not only that, hbo don't want to take a chance with another fiasco like in the first fight

Bernard does every trick in the book, headbutts, kidney punches ect, yet when someone does it back he either quits or pretends to be in agonizing pain for 20 minuets. Not only to mention he is a very poor sport. I was a Fan of his for a long time and turned a blind eye to his dirty and ***gotish ways, but when he screwed me out of 50 dollars against Dawson, that was the final straw.

 

The first fight actually wasn't supposed to be on PPV, it got shoved there because HBO's budget was pretty much drained by the time the fight happened.

This is all about the most obvious reason - The WBC and the California Commission backed on the original decision and favoured Hopkins in the decision to play fair and square and now the same fairness applies to Dawson... Since he didn't win the fight or the LHWT title, he is given another shot at the same and against the title holder. From Dawson's POV or Hopkins' POV I would say that they don't want to fight each other cause there's more risk than reward... However, there is honour at stake and all you members talk about money, cashing in, running away with it but you forget that these are men. Hopkins was disrespected specially after the injury and Dawson has not been able to prove he is superior to the 46, 47 year older who ducked him for years. That's why the fight is happening, for the LHWT Title, for supremacy, for legacy and because this is the natural fight that most of us asked for after the first match... Why are you complaining now then?

 

Of course it is regular HBO.

 

A generic Hopkins hater huh?

I can pull old posts up I put down over 2 or 3 years ago in which Im doing nothing but Praising the guy. Going out of my way to claim he was robbed against Calzaghe (which he clearly wasn't) I was a huge fan of his for along time, I am from Philly also. Hopkins turned me away as a fan. I threw a party and everything for his last fight and he decided to act like a ****** and bail out and make me waste 50 ****ing dollars.

This is what the fans deserve after that embarrassment they put on in October. Winner to hopefully face Cloud.

 

Funny, before I saw it was on regular hbo, I was going to say "I know I won't pay for that ****.", now I am wondering if it is worth the time..

 

50 dollars isn't ****, get over it. he was actually injured, he needed surgery. you cant get surgery for fake injuries.

 

One would think Dawson would win but like Ray Leonard never bet against him Hopkins for the most part.
