Hopkins/Dawson ruled a technical draw by WBC

I hope he retires. He fighting on does not give boxing much.

Body slamming your opponent is hardly accidental. That's not called accidental, that's why it's called, a FOUL. Thus, a NC with no mandatory rematch. :yep

 

There should be a rule where controversial endings like enact a rematch.

 

Hopkins doesn't deserve any more major fights, Dawson did what the **** he needed to do. Everyone is acting like Hopkins is a ****ing saint in the ring, but he's one of the dirtiest mother ****ers in the game. What goes around comes around.

 

All three judges gave Dawson the first round. Nothing Hopkins was doing was working, not his potshotting, not even his dirty tactics, he was also fighting off his back-foot the whole time (ie running). But the fight was close, so who knows. Again there is a reason why so many people are pissed that it ended that way.

 

I hear you Rep, but the differance is that the ref in the Williams and Foreman fight allowed them to continue. If Pat Russel was reffing the Yuri fight I doubt he would of allowed him to continue the way Mercante Jr. did.

Russel should of called Bernard's bluff and said, " Ok, you want to continue with one arm. Let's go!" FIGHT!

 

You can't win a fight by lifting your opponent's leg off the ground and then throwing them to the ground. That's not boxing.

Hopkins should vacate and move upto cruiserweight.

Not that he has a style to electrify the division but his name would bring focus to the "little big men" (and i'd love to see the ****er get ko'd).

Before that though, he said he couldn't continue, did he not? If not a foul, then it's a TKO, but I do concede that the referee could have handled the situation much better.
