IBF have ordered Hopkins to face his mandatory Mohammedi. 30 days to negotiate a deal or it goes to purse bids.

Of course a unification would supersede his mandatory and with Stevenson legal issues delaying any fight, it's either Kovalev or Mohammedi. We won't have to wait to long to see if this fight gets made or not.

Ya he's such a big draw he fights on the undercard I'd Adonis Stevenson. Maybe he kovalev should thank Stevenson for giving him publicity.

 

Hopkins is a legend. Hard to believe that I was watching him back in the early nineties.

Hopefully, Kovalev will get the fights he needs to have a great career, but no need to disrespect a legend.

Every fighter who fought on HBO and now fighting on show time saw there number go down. Don't believe me compare Hopkins number he fought on Hbo to kovalev and you will see that Bernard's number outdrew kovalev. Stevenson whose undercard kovalev used to fight on also saw his number go down. These are all result of HBO having more subscribers than showtime. Look you can stay in denial all you want but that's a fact.
Last weekend Crawford a lightweight did better number on HBO than kovalev did and I don't see anyone calling him osca dela Hoya. I bet you that fight would have done half of what it did had it been on Showtime.

Lol if Kovalev was a Black American he would be considered in the same light as Deontay Wilder....A good fighter, but one who has only fought bums and not elite competition....I like that Kovalev wants to fight the best, but up to this moment his resume is loaded with cans and that can't be denied.

Not to mention, Wilder has also called out the elite guys and I'm sure he wants to fight them....but like Kovalev he has looked good on a mediocore resume...

I will also point out that many FOREIGN Blacks get the same hyped up treatment as the Foreign Whites do....Rigo, Lara etc are all overrated yet get hyped up like crazy by alot of people because it's "cool" to root for them....It seems only American Blacks and maybe a "standard" hispanic like a typical Mexican fighter get consistently under appreciated.

 

Hopkins/Cloud did 1.2 million so 20% more than Kovalev's last fight. If nobody cares about Hopkins then by your rationale sports fans couldn't give a **** about Kovalev.
