    That wasnt anything like Ruiz.

Two top fighters met and fought like men.

It was a close fight. Rounds could have gone either way. I had joe winning by a couple of points

Hopkins is washed up, which is why he was reduced to using the tactics of a talentless palooka like Ruiz. It's sad, really, to see a once-great fighter reduced to this level. He should have retired after the Tarver fight.

You can't compare Hopkins to Ruiz -The clean right hand in the first is at least one clean punch more than you usually see John land before hugging his way to (boredom) victory.

All I can say is: The man is 43 and can go 12 rounds with a guy that many younger guys haven't been able to pass 8 rounds. Hopkins didn't win, but he sure has my respect.

it is calzaghe who disgraces this sport of pro boxing with his slap-tagging which is more suited to amateur boxing than anything else. and i'm not even a fan of hopkins.

The guys did fight negatively after 37 ......hes was generally very boring until the Pavlik fight which he let it all hang out...

I dont blame him for these tactics because he was able to change his style to prolong his career.

hes an old guy what do u expect....hes no where near as fluid as he was years ago

I think that's just about the first common sense post I've seen from you:good

How Hopkins expected to win by holding, feigning injury, spoiling and backpeddalling faster than Carl lewis stuck in reverse gear is beyond me:think Hopkins hardly won a round after the 2nd. There's no debate about it and the judge who scored one point in favour of Hopkins sholuld never be allowed to score a fight again. The other two judges had JC ahead by 5 points and 3points
