Hopkins may have won the fight but did he lose something much greater? Or did he show once again what he was: vs Robert Allen and Joe Calzaghe ...

What hateful attack it is launched against Hopkins here, a real low blow on Hopkins and his fans. Bernard uses his experience like any other veteran would use yes but it is most possible that that double shot ended up with a left hook to the bladder, south of the border, as Hopkins is coming in to close the distance, may have hurt him. People may have realized that the two hooks on the back of the head were not only rabbit punches as they were flagrant ande could have costed a fight for Roy at that point on... But still all there is to discuss is Bernard's theatrical acting! And I would go on to doubt Doug Fisher's post fight analysis concerning Bernard's condition as a fighter hell yeah.

I will disagree with the first point, but agree that Jones still had heart. Either way I wished RJJ & Hops would both retire! I hate when guys stay around to long...It does not really hurt their status and legacy in the mind of most serious fans, but to the newer and younger and fly by night phans they don't remember that both of them were great.
Little can be done to add to that or diminish among the knowlededgeable

I agree they bith need to hang them up .They cannot perform at a high level anymore ..The problem is there are too many leeches in boxing that will continue to support this ..As fans we either watch or dont until they finally call it quits .

The Jones rematch is a serious blip on Hopkins' career. It was disgraceful. I hate that it happened.

Hopkins body language explained he was acting. The body does things you can't control when you aren't acting out of reflex. And he was acting, badly. The ref was even embarrassed for him

Hopkins acted because he needed rest breaks, the incompetent ref is more to blame than anyone else, and yes Hopkins was a ***** and a disgrace that night.

Hopkins - the WORST "great" fighter ever?
