Bhop great champion for over 20 years. Easy all time great first ballot hall of famer. Nothing to be ashamed of and no crow to eat. Kovalev showed the class and respect due a great champion. Enough said
Kovalev fought a patient fight, maintained control and didn't get sloppy. I figured Hopkins would let his hands go and smother Kovalev's shots more. He had success when he did let his hands go. But, I think he was banking too much on Kovalev not having the stamina to go into the late rounds. AND it appeared he was leary of risking being hit clean, due to Kovalev's power. So, I will eat my crow. It's rare a fighter deserves any credit for surviving. But, Hopkins showed a lot of toughness and an extraordinary chin. Amazing for a man of nearly 50. He's a true ATG.
There's plenty of crow to eat for the classless and clueless BHop fans who thought Sergey was the second coming of Kelly Pavlik.
Most people who had Kovalev winning thought he'd win by stoppage. It did seem a no brainer to me but you can't really hate on anyone for picking Hopkins, I guess. Kovalev by comfortable UD, I said it all along... Fight went down exactly as it was obviously going to, except that Hopkins did even slightly less than I thought he'd do.
I enjoyed all those videos because I was thinking the same thing I expected to see SweetSciDooDoo there in the background shining shoes:rofl
