    The worst part of this, is that Hops may not get HIS due in the end.

    For what it's worth, you've gained my respect as one of the better analyst on these boards, alongside Axe, john garfield, and especially Sea Hippie.

    And as disappointed as I am, Hops still proved he was great. So did Calzaghe, though, and ****....I'm still shocked.

    Well except maybe the faked low blows, the worst holding, rabbit punching, etc. Yeah, real class there...................

    I knew that would happen. Hopkins had to KO him with the first minute of the fight to get his due here. Its not enough that he gave Joe his toughest fight (Joe's words)...Hopkins is overrated in their eyes.

    Fear not. Deep down, EVERY Calzaghe fan knows this was more meaningful than Eubank, Lacy, or Kessler.

    Calzaghe fans have a habit of underrating his opponents pre-fight and over-rating them after.

    I think Hopkins impressed a lot of people the way Joe impressed me.

    Hopkins pulled out all the tricks for this one. What's interesting about Hopkins is the range of his tricks. Almost all great fighters had their favorite dirty moves -- a forearm, headbutt, holding behind the head, Hopkins can do it all.

    Yeah, Joe made some necessary adjustments to take some off the later rounds close, but clear. Ugly fight. Hopkins will always make Joe look bad but he lost that fight. :-(

    Time to retire :lol:
