I would've like Joe to fight a real challenge like Pavlik or Taylor or Dawson. Hopkins is just a shell of himself and presents no challenge.

Joe has stated he wants the Pavlik / Taylor winner after Hops.

Hops is unfinished business for Joe, it needs to be put to bed.

HOW ABOUT NO CURRENT BELTHOLDERS? (He just defended the WBO title)

How about no P4P top 10 fighters (no top 20 either haha)?

How about no HOFer or ATG?

How about the best you can do is "he beat the guy who beat Clinton Woods"?

Did you really utter the words "Eubank wasnt far past his best"?

Have you ever seen a PRIME Eubank fight?

That fight made me a Calzaghe fan, but even I can admit that Eubank was pretty far past it. Hell go look at what he did after, compared to his real prime? It was more the performance by Joe than who he beat in this one. Lets be serious here.

But regardless, its still a very good win.

Eubank wasn't that bad at all. Him being shot is overstated, he was still in decent form, and Joe was very green - not half the fighter he is today. So in that respect, it was a very good win

I agree to an extent. But Eubank wasnt near the fighter he was in his prime. Im sorry, but anyone who had seen his prime knows that to be true....its obvious.

He was pretty far past it IMO...after the loss to Joe he lost 2 in a row then retired if I'm not mistaken. against Thompson. And Thompson wouldn't have shared the same ring with a Prime or even a litttle past his prime Eubanks.

lets be serious...Hopkins is old. he's not the same fighter he was 10 years ago (I diddnt think anyone was questioning that) but he's still a good solid version of himself. solid enough he's a live underdog here. but if someone says hopkins lost cause he was older...they might be right...thats boxing folks.

You are right...it's a solid version but Bhop in his prime was A LOT harder to beat! The only reason Bhop is still "SOLID" is b/c he's hasn't been in many wars, taken care of his body and health and has stayed in shape (Boxing shape). So for an OLD MAN in boxing standards, he is still in good shape...but the main factor is he is still smart as a fox and crafty as ever. Those things that Bhop has could give JOE some problems for a while but JOE is also a very smart fighter and his advantages that youth brings vs BHops advanced age will be the deciding factor...Unless i'm completely wrong about how good Joe is! And I can't be wrong.:good
