    Odd choice.
I can see Smith winning this even though I don't rate him particularly highly.

Hopkins is 51 now and hasn't fought in over a year, and took a pretty heavy beating in his last fight

    Very good fight.

If he wins this I bet he fights Stevenson in his farewell.

I like Joe Smith and his win against Fonfara was a shock, that said Smith was hurt too in that fight and if Kovelev never KOd BHop then why should we expect Smith to,good fight I like it.

So he's going to take on the Fonfara conquerer Joe Smith Jr. Not a bad fight for his "last fight", so I'm cool with that!

I'd just as soon see him stay retired going out on the Kovalev loss.

Me too, but this kid can bang and he's got size on his side. The way he destroyed Fonfara as a heavy underdog was highly impressive, and Hopkins at almost "senior citizen age" if he can school this kid the way he did Pavlik and Tarver, I'd say that's a pretty good win to go out on. Plus it's an HBO fight, and I'm sure he'll be getting paid pretty good, so I think it's worth the risk, so why not.

He should stay retired. There's been slight deterioration in his speech recently. He had the gift of the gab before , now he kinda doesn't make any sense.

That Kauro Murat fight was closer than people remember , so its not like only high level guys like Krusher have the ability to beat him. Joe Smith can beat him if he shows him no respect.

If Hopkins wins, this won't be his last fight.

Great farewell fight. Smith just demolished a legit top 10 LHW in Fonfara. Hopkins will be missed
