While I agree that this is a dangerous fight for Hopkins given his age and Smith's obvious punching power, I don't think Bhop would have taken the fight unless he saw something that he thinks he can exploit in Smith, Jr. Of course, he claimed he saw things he would exploit in Kovalev before their fight and we all know how that turned out. Regardless of whether he has enough left to win, mad props to Hops for making his farewell fight against a guy who's no pushover.

As a side note, I don't know if he will fight again should he win, but I'd like to see him hang 'em up after the fight either way.

Hopkins is so old now, I'm not sure whether he should really even be favoured here. I mean he will have been out of the ring for over two years.

Dangerous fight for Hopkins to take Smith can punch. Might be a passing of the torch type fight. Can't wait to see it.

It's a real shame he couldn't lure Stevenson into the ring with him considering he's no spring chicken either but this is a real test for him to try and go out on a win.

If he does lose it'd also be kinda fitting too considering he lost his first fight. He'll be leaving the sport the way he entered it.

Win lose or draw Bernard Hopkins legacy is already cemented. He is Top 5 ATG P4P Already.
Its a shame some of the so called elite 160 pounders do not have the stones Nard possesses
Wish he wouldn't fight again but will support him 100% !!!!!!WAR EXECUTIONER!!!!!!!!!

Top 4 P4P? Are you insane. I'm a fan of Bernard - in the ring at least and he's grown on me out of it in recent years - but are you ****ing nuts? Top 4 pound for pound of all time? GTFOH.

I need to see your top 10 now for a laugh.

    Ward couldn't make 168 LOL
Bernard would NEVER hand over a title because he was sure he couldn't win He is a FIGHTER!!!!!! not a prima donna coward. If Nard could still make 160 he's take GGG on

You first CJ. It was you who claimed him as top 4 p4p fighter.

I'd need some time to whittle down the names of all the greats whizzing around my head but I know this from the off, Nard is nowhere near my top 20. Hell, I could prob pick the nigh on 20 heavyweights I'd pick over B-Hop p4p.

He's included in the conversation for best middleweights ever but not anywhere near topping the list IMO.

Its amazing that B-Hop choooses more dangerous 'farewell' opponent at almost 52 than 'TBE' did at his 38.
