Tito was gonna rule the middleweight division for a decade with an iron fist but Hop put a stop to it. Don't try to underrate that win, after all there is a reason why Hop was a 3:1 underdog going into that fight. Tito was destroying everyone on his way to the Hop fight. Size was never brought up until Hop tore that ass up (no homo).
The only thing that matters is that they fought at their prime. Your argument will hold water if Hop had never fought Jones at all.
We'll hey I wasn't the one that was told 60/40 I will kick your ass but your right he fears no man and it holds no water :hi:
I think boxing has too many keyboard warriors who like to talk about how tough they are, when anyone who steps in the ring has more courage than most of us will ever have.
Nothing BUT respect for BHop in that at 49 he's still fighting top 5 LHWs and that he is trying hard to get it with #2 Stevenson and has verbally stated he would take a fight with the #1, Kovalev..... BUT.....idk if he is genuine about fighting #1.......too much risk, too little reward.....but I know wholeheartedly that he has every intention of KTFO SuperBiitch, esp knowing he can't handle someone with heart, much less chin, power and smarts. Hell, he was nearly KTFO by a chinachinned glass jawed giraffe necked(IB) Pole who he had dominated for 8 prior rds. I know BHop wants that fight, but Superbiitch aint going to sign the Non Disclosure Agreement regarding BHops TRT. So SuperBiitch is stalling and BHop has to fight someone......perhaps he believes his cagey ring tactics and iron chin can withstand 12rds of constant power punches coming from all angles.....idk.....MAYBE. If I was handicapping that fight, with BHops history and KOvalevs prowess it'd be close to even and more likely to go to the cards.:think But I'd bet on Kovalev to get the KO inside 8....BHop is great at spoiling, but Kovalev is great at maintaining distance and his shots would be hard on the oldman.....with or with the TRT.:think
If he knew he was going to get whooped why was it Hopkins that chased the rematch. After the first fight Dawson's manager clearly stated they didn't want a rematch. It wasn't until the fight was declared a draw and eventually a no contest leaving Dawson without the belt that Dawson wanted a rematch. Why did Dawson not want a rematch against the most lucrative opponent possible? Hopkins could have easily said Dawson didn't want a rematch and then fought for one of the other titles as he did after the 2nd Dawson fight. But he instead choose again for a second time to face an opponent who was favoured to beat him. To simply conclude Hopkins faked the injury has no basis in fact it's just an assumption that suits your personal opinion. You have a right to your opinion but don't try and state it as fact.
